I was talking to my black and white freind earlier and he said they are close to sealing a deal for Sam, was wondering if anyone as heard this?

I would imagine now we're in admin everything will have to go through them, and we won't have the administrators in until Friday??

Not so - the administrator is not in full control until next Friday anyway - so would not be able to do any deals such as this until after then.

If Sam were to leave it would be by mutual consent either with the existing management or with the new management - assuming the deal goes through.

Not sure if there is any truth to this.

In all honesty I like sam as much as the next fan but it would be an acceptable loss.

Sam has stuck with us through thick and thin and by all accounts loves it at Wakey. I can see him leaving at the end of next season if we don't get a franchise because he deserves to be a super league player.

If he were to go then hopefully we will be taken over by a multi-millionaire who will be willing to fund a good replacement but as i have said i can't see him leaving now but i may be wrong.

Hope it is not true, but a player of his caliber deserves better at the end of the day... but by all accounts he loves it here.

This rumour has been on and off the Hull board for months now. You'd think that if it was going to happen it would of by now.

Theres also a rumour on the Catalans board about Daryll Millard signing for them.

so far, Hull fans have announced they're close to sealing a deal to sign Jarrod Sammut, Rangi Chase, Sam Obst ... if you believe them, they'll sign pretty much every half back in the League by the time of Cardiff

Saw him in Wakey this afternoon and looked happy enough.

Like all players Sam would if offered a decent deal and security take it, thats life.


But i reckon he'd rather be pulling on a Wakey shirt than any other under those circumstances.

Like most of the squad, hard worker, decent player, and in his case, can't see other SL clubs using a quota place on him. Would it be the end of the world without him? No.

I hope not - his attitude, work-rate and application are superb.

Wish we had a few more like him.

They are but for me he's not good enough for a quota spot. Only Morrison for me worthy of a quota spot in our squad. I'd be very surprised if Hull want him.

Beggars can't be choosers; at this point in time, I'd suggest that we'd be significantly worse off without him. He may not be a world beater, but he can trouble any defence in SL and is a superb example to young players

Plus, I have a natural affinity with short-ar5es.
