Why no statement from the club after the shareholders meeting ? I understand that the meeting resolved nothing but a professional club hoping to continue in business , should be able to put together a press release putting as positive as possible spin on the situation .

I agree, although they cant reveal any details, they could have released a statement saying that the meeting went well and so.

because the club os run by people who dont care about there fans,this :TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER: is only there to try and get fans to speend money.as people keep saying the club needs investment well who who would invest in the club at this present time i have more chance of getting katy perry in bed than we do of getting a liecence,but if there where to be positive news coming out of the club for a change(ie ground to play that is sl standard) there might be a better chance

Because whoever writes the news articles on the site is still probably suffering the after effects of the hangover from New Years Eve and thus hasnt had the opportunity to go online and write it.

Sounds stupid I know, but it worked with the clubs response to why the website was down so no reason why I cant use something similar.

Yes, but at least Lord Ted and the rest will now step down. What it now needs is one or a group of proffesionals to come in and take over. The door is open, the price is peanuts so I really can't see why they should even bother making any statements. I am positive that we will have a new BoD within days if not weeks.

Lets hope your right. I do believe with some proper business heads on the BOD we would become a better proposition on all fronts (literally overnight)

I am just going on what I have read on here over the years. Ted has been holding back investment for years to protect him and his kin. Now he has admitted defeat there must be loads of people queing up to take over. A Sl club for £500k how can it not happen.

Ah sorry I didn't pick upon your sarcasm. The problem is that Ted's supporters, like it or not cannot deny that years ago we were a much better proposition for a new investor and the economic climate was also much rosier. Therefore had he stepped aside at that stage, we might not be in the mess we are in now.

Because there was nothing to be picked up.... According to many who I will not argue with, this club has been crap as long as Ted has been in charge. Our mess is no worse than it was years ago under Pearman (and Ted).

I'll say it again, I must have read hundreds of different posters over every year we have been in SL saying this investor or that investor has wanted to get involved only to be blocked by Ted. The guy has now admitted he wants out infront of all the shareholders. All someone needs is £500K , this has got to be the bargain of the centuary, surely we are certain to have new owners by the time the season begins.

The only questionable one is the Castleford issue, as unless they are building or can demonstrate that they have all the money, I think they might go, but would be replaced by Halifax rather than us.

I thought also that the club statement had a touch of petulance about it,ie, you want a club, well get your hand in your pocket, and you think you can run it better, well get on with it then. Here's the key to the Trophy cabinet, etc.

I think Teds shares would still place him as the majority shareholder if you were to buy just 2,501 of the new share offer.

Surely there must be enough shares now available for a group of supporters to form some kind of trust make this no longer the case. There certainly should be after the next share option if the deadline is met. Every time more and more shares are issued then the majority holding obviously becomes less.

Before the last share offer Ted Richardson was the majority shareholder and according forum gossip and media speculation he still is. Surely after the last share offer his majority shareholder status was potentially still true but him holding the majority percentage of available shares .

Put it in simple terms before the previous share option say there were 100 shares and Ted owned 51 of them or 51%, then another 100 shares were made available in the last share option wouldn't Ted's shareholding now be 25.5% of the available shares (based on him not purchasing any more).

These are obviously not accurate figures just examples.

Can someone please explain to me WHY the developer was going to give Wakefield Wildcats £350,000??? is this from York court as a brown envelope payment for letting them use a stadium and sporting facilities as a convenient excuse for getting them the planning permission granted??

Ted currently owns the vast majority of the issued shares. Not sure on the exact percentage, but it is massively more than all the other shareholders put together.

The way i see it is that if we don't get investment and go bust the current shares are not worth jack. Wouldn't suprise me if someone was waiting in the wings to clean up and get the club for nothing then with nothing to pay for the club they would have more money for investment. Risky venture for us but nothing to loose for possible suiters.
