| Who Am I on about?
Yep you've guessed it JD..
Can't knock his commitment or effort and hes been one of our best ever players in the sl era a real talisman who will be talked about in plently of years to come.
BUT
He's not good enough and more and he's costing us some serious points game after game
Poor pass from the scrum to millards ankles results knock on.
Invisible in defence people runnign through him like a turn style.
Can't keep the ball in possesion.
Giving silly pens.
This isnt a one off reaction from todays debacle, i've tried to stand up for JD to the people i stand with in past few months due to the reasons ive mentioned above..talisman etc...
BUT
I've come to realise that doesn't give him free reign or a licence to perform badly and cost us points, he has to be measured by the same standards of other players. We can't say oh who knocked on oh it was JD nevermind because he did that wonderful run vs bradford in 06 etc... he cant be let off for his performances now because of what hes done in the past.
I know hes the captain but morrison is a wonderful captain in waiting, obst can do it. Im afraid hes not the inspiration on the field that he used to be...
So as the title suggests... Thanks for everything but now its time to go

| I'm sticking by my initial thought at the start of the season. JD should have been used as an interchange forward. He still has alot to offer. He can make short punishing bursts. But he can't last for 70 minutes a game. Kear hasn't helped him either by switching positions every other week as well as over playing him.
It's a really sad way to finish a career

| Tend to agree with a lot of the above. Love JD, cracking fella and been a great player for the club but this season is a step too far and he's not been helped or supported by a very naive coach who continues to over play him.

If hes not good enough for next season, why is he still good enough now?
Plays too many minutes, he thinks / kear plays him in every position imaginable.
He's a liability on the field and its sad too see, after all his hard work.

| Have to agree, like JD a lot but he has gone one season too far. JK needs to stop playing him with all the mistakes he is coming up with.

| Don't agree to be honest.
You question his defense but the only person who ever tackles more is Morrison.
In a team that is lacking effort, he gives more than his share every week without fail.
It depends who you are comparing him to but I still rate him. I'd rather have him, with shot knee than a more skillful player with no heart.
Just my opinion though. You lot carry on.

| Probably a kneejerk reaction but out of the ground we spoke about the early release of JD, top bloke but I'd like to remember him for his effort not the capitulation that he looks set to carry out to the end of the season

| JD defence was better than alot of others today, alright he missed a bad one off a shockin kick off at the end, but how come one player has so much room either side of him from a kick off.
He gives silly penalties away, he never gave a single penalty away today. As for your inspirtional leader morrison, who drop the ball twice and gave 6 penalties away, but you don't want to speak about that.
Oh hang on who split them open in first half which led to millard try, oh JD(not good enough)
Oh and who split them up the middle holding off three players before off loading to rinaldi for our second try, you know two of the 3 tries we scored. Who also made several strong carries driving us forard and getting us on the front foot, but hey lets not mention any of that.
And please dont come with the thanks but time to go rubbish, your not interested in thanking him at all.
I agree JD had a terrible start to the game, but he turned it around with some strong carries and enthusiam which clearly lifted the team. we started to show signs of a fight back until we decided to give stupid penalty after penalty away to whom morrison was the main culprit.
JD has been very good in recent weeks his stats speak for themselves and anyone who went last week would back that up. He had a terrible start today no doubt, but he did do some very good things and was one player who looked like breaking their line. His stats are very good and in recent weeks has maade well over 100 metres a game and got his name on score sheets as weel as assists.
The real question needs to be asked, how come we look so tired from the start of the game? After a gruelling travel to crusaders last week, i would be interested to know what the team did in training this week, because they were certainly not the same as last week. Truth is we have no idea, but its a question i would loe an answer to.

| Nobody questions that JD gives 110% each game but he's dropping a lot of ball both unforced and in the contact and he's no where near the illusive running player of 2 years ago who was bouncing off defenders, had great positional sense and showed good hands. I'm not sure if it's the ageing body or the fact he's getting through so much work. As captain he should be making sure the lazy sods help him out!

| i'm not saying his handling at start of game was good it wasn't infact it was poor. but he came back from that and had a hand in two tries with good straight carries. Jd would make a fantastic impact player, he is still our leading tackle busts and second leading metre maker, of which he is top 25 in super league. He needs to improve his handling no doubt. Morrison was woeful today penalty machine and sideways carries yet no one says a word. if jd drop the ball twice and gave six penaltys away, the lynch mob would hang him out and that i dont understand.

I totally agree and think he could even do a job next season coming off the bench ala hendo. Shame Kear thinks he's a 80 minute machine. Which I'm sure JD wouldn't dispute!
I thought Morrison went ok today, some huge hits in defence, and good yards off average passes, the penalties came at a time when the whole team was frustrated and just seemed to want to fight. But I'm sure Morro will improve next week whilst JD will keep dropping the ball at crucial times

| Have to agree that Morrison had a stinker. Set the tone with an infringement in the first 5 minutes (ball steal) and continued giving KR cheap yards throughout the game. Surprised it took till the 70th minute for Thaler to threaten him with the bin.

| Like I say not a reaction after y'day game but a combination of games and in truth the whole season.
If he does play (which he will) please can we keep him to short 15min spells. As this is the fault of kear / jd who try to use him for near enough 80mins in 5diff posis each game.
Jd your not superman, however I know you'd never refuse to ave a go on the park or in a diff posis because u were knackered or whatever (and thats what I respect and admire about you) however kear has got to realise that jd is costing us valuable points after hes been on for quite a while.
Use him properly or not at all.

| JD is not helping himself at the moment. Yes you cannot fault his effort but silly errors week after week are more clear now than ever before. He's this year's scapegoat and espically if Gleeson is not in the team.
That said JK is not helping him either, over playing him and moving him position to position week after week.
JD's passing is shocking at times. JK needs to keep him out of attacking half and simply tell him to hold onto the ball unless the easy pass is on. That said, several times when he should pass the ball he doesn't and when he shouldn't he does.
Feel bad criticising JD has he's a cracking bloke and he's led the team well in recent years but he's struggled this year, like many others and he needs more support from fellow players and from his coach, both of which he simply is not getting at this moment in time.
