To be honest if Kear left for Catalans then I would be happy with Harrison as his replacement. I thought he was unfairly sacked, perhaps in this day and age without relegation he wouldn't have been.

Batley were in a mess when he took over and he seems to have turned them around. He appears to have the right attitude to coach this club.

we have the best coach we have had in 30 years. Why replace him with a a rookie with little in the way of a relevant track record and who failed in his previous SL opportunity. Not for me.

JK's list of success is built in Super League. You can't compare a coach's success in lower division to that at top level as easily as that.
and the fact that you say "top tactician? good contacts" without actually giving examples simply shows you like him but you can't justify him.

By your logic we should also be going for Powell, Calland, Cullan. Why not even Barrie McDermott, bet he's got good contacts.

Funny that no one has mentioned Broadbent yet. He knows how it all works at Wakefield, he ran the show wehn JK was out with hip op, he was successful at York before he came.
I don't want JK to go, I can't imagine him going either but if he were to go, I'd give Beans a start.

That would worry me personally, nothing against beans but that would smack as the cheap option disguised as giving one of our own a chance.

I know what you are saying, but I put him in the same category as an unproven League 1 coach. Of course I'd prefer Wayne Bennet or Tim Sheens but that's the top level, JK comes lower down, and the people being discussed on this discussion come even lower.....in my opinion.

On the basis that your call for Karl Harrison to be our next coach began some time ago, I can only assume that you are either his agent or his blood relation. He had one good season in super league, immediately followed by relegation. Not supreme credentials, in my book.

its been on the cards for a while now. think he will take us on to the next level i can see us being a top 4 side next year under harrisons guidance
