Unbelievable.
Yesterday at 9:00am “ Shan’t bother making the 11 hour round trip – Can’t face all that misery on the train home”.
Today at 5:07pm “ D’oh”.
For those less stupid than me, can you tell me what we did well today ? Who performed ? What tactics did it for us ?

We scored try's well



Seriously the first 15 we were a bit edgy and it kinda looked like it was gonna happen again.

We through the ball around well and won the ruck quite easily, who performed? It was a team effort however for me special mentions go to King (Outstanding again and my MOM, Latu created no-end of problems for the opposistion, obst was his usual tricky self, and murphy handled everything given to him very well.

Tactics? We were tough upfront and we won the ruck with latu making easy yards, we then however started spreading the ball (similar to the leeds game at Edinburgh) and we scored a lot of points down the fringes, with cooke kicking all but 2 of our try's.

We won off the back of two of the most vital parts of the game which we have struggled of late.

1 - Defence... Outstanding defence all across the park, especially the right hand side Gleeson/Blanch looked solid there all afternoon. The only blip was when Clubb walked through some poor efforts for his try and then right at the death for their second try.

2 - Discipline... Did we even concede a penalty throughout the whole match?

In warm weather conditions if you can perform as well as we did today in those two key areas, I believe the rest will fall into place and it did.

It was a great all round team performance and hard to single anyone out IMO.

we passed they stuck, we kicked we chased , we offloaded we supported , they ran we tackled , if things went wrong we put them right, we kept our discipline we gave away few (if any )

penalties. we showed pride in the shirt

Thought he was very quiet and confident today, which is what you want really. Fans come to watch the rugby not the ref, I dont think it was a difficult game to ref but neverless he did it very well. Its a new experience for us to have so few pens in our games'
