There is also an advert for the Wigan game promoted by Eric France.

I know this will be a short thread - but it needed saying anyway - and it cheered me up (a little) to see us covered so positively playing a part in the wider society in Wakefield.

Agree. Whilst something positive about the club is a good thing, the positive stuff about the stadium project, especially the photo opportunity that IA had set up are extremely important, and fitting that in somewhere within all the coverage they have given in todays edition, would have been easy to justify. If nothing else to offer a balanced view on the project after largely months of negativity

That reaction is similar to a beggar being given some money in his bowl by a kind person, then the beggar looking down and saying 'is that all'.

Sure we have some gripes, but geez, can we not give them some credit where it's due - otherwise, where's the incentive to do it again?

It could also be seen as 'too little too late'

I can hardly see the Wakey Express seeing this thread and saying 'no more positive Wildcats stuff, we are taking our bat and ball home'!!!

However, its a start but I want to see more before I praise them, or buy the paper personally again!

Problem being that most people stopped buying the rag years ago so what they do or do not print now is of little significance.

Enjoyed the pictures from the dinner - good to see the Cup in Wakefield hands again! (And even better how I didn't have to pay for it and read it at work!)

I understand that Trb "but if said beggars kicked me in the shreddies for years" then decided to give me a gift because he's got stuff all to fill his newspaper then why should i care.
