| Apoligies if this has been mentioned before but if you are getting a ladies ticket for a tenner for harlequins game can you pre purchase it from the club shop or do you have to pay the 10 pounds through the turnstyles when she goes through.

I might have misheard but I thought they said at the "audience with" evening that £10 tickets must be pre-purchased before close of shop on Saturday (4pm I think).
I would suggest you ring and check as you don't want to turn up on the day and find you can't get in for a tenner.

| The club is bloody obsessed with pre pay tickets!
Why cant they just let women pay a tenner at the gate on the day? Will put more people off coming if they have to buy in advance, not like we are packing them in on match days is it ??

Got to agree with this. We have this great ideas, but just put obstacles in the way. How about a new concept.....make it easier for the customer!!

The club is obsessed with pre-paid tickets because they know that if it's bad weather on the day then people decide to stay at home, if they have already paid then that is their loss and not the clubs.

I understand that but people also like to see if its going to be decent on the day, if it is and the price is still a tenner they will probably go, if its decent weather and 20 quid they wont.
Plus its ok getting the brass but the terraces still look empty and they arent going to buy anything are they?
Its daft to me, just let them pay a tenner on the day or have it at 10 quid if you buy in advance 12 quid on the day.

Indeed the club are going with the clear policy of minimising the walk up attitude many RL fans have by encouraging supporters to pre-purchase which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The only problem with this I find is the lack of opportunity for people to buy the tickets from anywhere else but the club shop. This is why a city centre presence is vital in the run up to a match.
Most people might not make it down to BV, however many will make it into town and if the tickets were available from, say, the outlet the club occupied a few weeks ago then take up would be greater IMO.
Thankfully the competitors in the race for life need only bring their race number or email confirmation to gain free access. If I was a club official I would be canvassing the runners as they finish with the news they can get free access to the afternoons match. I would also go a stage further and allow their family (limited to two adults and three children) to gain free entry too to make it a real family day out.

I agree with you, and at the risk of repeating myself (again), I also think it's vital to get a credible internet presence that is properly maintained and promoted as the 'shop window'; I think it was promised a month or so ago on here and at the Q&A the other night, JK said it was iminent.

That is a great idea, wonder whether we will try it though.
Hopefully somebody from the club reading the board might see this and let the powers-that-be know.
I like the idea of family in as well but would personally limit that to the kids otherwise we will find people attaching themselves to runners they are not family of in order to get in cheaper (can't see that being a problem if just allowing kids in with them)
