did anybody see sams reaction when we let that try in on the stroke of half time,a fan stood in the corner had a go at gleesen for not making a taclke yet again the fan simply shouted at gleesen that it was every week now and he needs to sought it sam was more intrested in finding who was saying this and trying to report it to a steward to get this person thrown out(this person had paid is money and deserves is opinion),when he should be concentrating on the game in hand

I see your point, however it does show he cares about his team mate. We need em all showing that as a team they are bothered, if Sam has just shrugged that would have been a worse reaction IMO.

Players should not get involved with fans during the game.

Agreed, although when the numpty behind us who was effing and jeffing at the top of his voice throughout the whole match called Glenn Hall a 'fu*king girl', I was secretly hoping he'd vault the wall and leather him.

I tend not to vocally slate players but sometimes I'll single out a father figure in the coach or Captain with the odd shout of "Get the lads fired up" or "Not good enough" etc.
I know the lads know when it's not going well but if I didn't shout at my nipper when he's spilled coke on the floor he'd think I didn't care.

Never get sick of watching that, seeing the Palace fan in total shock cos he thought he was safe giving loads of abuse from the stands!

I agree Al, there's an inbuilt, drilled in code of conduct that pro players have and it would take something extraordinary for someone like Sam to get involved.

When I played, players would be very sheepish about even waving to family in the stands in case the coach saw it as not being focussed.

what you believe is wrong then i was stood down in that corner the fan didnt swear or anything like that and sam did get involved telling him to shut up(at this point another fan was telling sam the other fan was right regards to gleesen) he did say somthing to a steward the steward did ask a bulls fan if he saw who had said owt,yes weather the steward was going to ask this person to leave or simply shut up that i cant be sure off
