i know we already have a thread on the game but i was disgusted by the idiotic Wakefield fan who felt the need to shout during the minutes silence if you read the boards give yourself a good slap.

When this 'fan' decided to interrupt a usually impeccably observed minutes silence, I'm sure it was one of the players/officials/board who shouted shut up from the field.

Very much so. I wish someone would teach the kids some manners, the ones who thought it was 'funny' to cough all the way through. Hope the idiot is found and banned - you may never have heard of the gentleman who died, but how hard is it just to keep it shut for 60 seconds. Too hard, obviously.

Despite the scroat who shouted, it still felt much more respectful/"normal" than the minutes applause the week before.

I thought it was all a bit too quick.No sooner had the announcer finished, child's blew the whistle.It caught the people in the stands out also as they hadn't even stood up.

Just to let you know there will in all probability be a minutes silence at Wigan on Monday for former player and great club servant in Johnny Lawrenson. May I please ask that you all respectfully observe it, and if there are any idiots, please sort them out.

I have quite a few friends who support the Wakefield club who I known for over 30, please don't let them down.

We had a minutes silence at our game for a valued member/fan of our club too last night that alot of us Giants fans had the pleasure of meeting over the years. Isn't it great when so many people all together can stand silent for a minute in respect of someone passing away. What annoyed me on Thursday at the Leeds v Bulls game was that everyone was quiet and stood still apart from the cameramen in the middle of the pitch walking around. Can't they just stand still for one minute?

You won't find anyone on this board who would disrespect a minutes silence and Wakefield fans would normaly be impecable in their behaviour during such times. Take Leon Walkers MINUTE silence which actually turned into something like TEN MINUTES and created the most unusual atmosphere at any sporting event I've ever attended.

I don't think he looked the sort who would travel to games. I think he was there on Friday just for the thought of something to do after a day on the beer. No worries about Monday.

Yeah gotta agree, that was the only dampner an otherwise excellent win, especially considering the perfect silence observed during the Hull derby for one of kr's recently deceased ex-directors. If morons like that so-called fan think breaking minute silences are so clever and hilarious, then the deluded fool is following trhe wrong sport.

I'd agree with that. It was a bit rushed but the incident in question was about 10 or 15 seconds in.

Thing is from his voice he sounded an adult. Can't believe people have got that far on in life whilst being so thick.

Someone told him to shut up and someone next to him clamped a hand over his mouth. I think the tattoo gun that put that classy swirl behind his right ear must have penetrated a little too far.
