Just purchased the DVD of Sundays game. Watched some of it during lunch and it is worth every penny just to re-live the game.

All matches are recorded by Micron on behalf of Sky (for the highlights show). They record theirs from half way and provide the club with a copy. So John likes the version from behind the sticks to provide an alternative view of the game (the one he gets live). It just happens that this is the one owned by the club, and therefore is the one the club can sell to us all.

I prefer the half-way view myself, but for the reasons above I am happy to accept what we get!

Hmm think I’ll give it a miss then. I have the ‘Richard Moore’ Wigan DVD but my enjoyment of it was lessened because of the camera angle.

It's a shame the club use the behind the sticks location. I used to buy quite a few of our home victories. If Micron do the recording for Sky does this mean they have copies to sell too?

1 No - I don't believe they do.
2 The 'profit' would not be going to the club!

Just watched the first half. Thanks for the explanation TRB. I have to say I much prefer the half way line version, but it's good to watch again.

The club wouldn't lose out by me buying the Micron version though as there's no way I would be getting a view from behind the sticks version anyway.
