| According to today`s LE & LW Damien Blanch & Paul Johnson will both be fit & available for the Saints` game in a fortnight. I think this means we`ve got a fully fit squad for the 1st time in goodness knows how long

| Who would you pick?
Blanch for George, I think, and Johnson for Hendo, despite his sterling work yesterday.

| neither will get in straight away, unless George is injured.
Was surprised King didn't play against Leeds but Hendo proved why he kept his place

No way can hendo be dropped after his start to the season and after arguably his best game in a wakey shirt on Sunday!
Would put blanch back in for Morton though, not because the kid has done anything wrong, but do think we should let him have a little rest and reflect on just how far he has come! He also reminds me of Murphy in terms of his frame, and think a rest will be good for his developing body.

| If Luke George is injured then JK could move Murphy to the wing and bring Blaymire back, don't need to make too many changes to a winning side, either that or just do a straight swap of George for Blanch

| Think that if fit then blanch should play, the one area we have looked a bit weak defensively is the gleeson centre wing partnership, lacked a bit of organisation, blanch is a senior player and I think would help gleesons defensive positioning, morton has played fantastic but he is still a kid, blanch would give us that greater defensive strength imo

| the only way to develop players is to let them play... Murphy and Morton do not deserve to be dropped... doing so may have a negative impact on their development... poor performing players should be dropped.... there are none of those in the team at the moment....

No to start a witch hunt but Blanch isn’t exactly poop hot defensively. Ainscough scored 4 tries on his flank in the league last season, 3 of which Blanch was woefully out of position.
If George is injured then it's a striaght swap for me.

I get what you're saying re. Blanchy - but I reckon he was the victim of our 'sliding' defence. If the players inside don't 'slide' then the wing is left looking a right Turkey!

| i disagree
Blaymire isn't a winger and shouldn't play there, especially if we have a fit winger to come in.

| Obviously a great win at the weekend, but we should always be looking for areas to improve, and I was concerned about Millards defence.
Great going forward, but this is an area where Leeds exposed us a few times.
It was obvious from their first play they would target the Senior Hall vs Morton hit up, but they quickly realised Morton was up to the task - and it was nice to see Senior congratulating Morton on some great tackles, which prevented a certain try in the second half (pains me to congratulate Senior).
Millards defence could do with some tightening.

No doubt there was an element of that and he was left isolated, but then is it not the wing mans responsibility to direct the defence over to his side when he is out numbered. To be caught out once is fair enough, twice is bad but three times was poor.
I realising I’m singling out Blanch and that is not my intention because he is an excellent player who has been unlucky with injuries since he been at Wakefield. It’s just I’ve seen Morton come in and perform well and I wouldn’t want to see him unduly dropped for any other reason then injury or loss of form.

You don't drop a man in position and in form. The team agreed that principal last year - after JK brought too many senior players back too soon the previous year and lost form partly due to it.
Morton stays, if Luke is even only 90% fit and Blanch is fit - then it's Blanch's shirt!

It was a relatively simple, but well executed move, and we failed to pick up the dummy runners each time. The winger may be responsible for directing the defence in that kind of situation, but the problem arose before he could do much about it, IMO.
Be that as it may, the old adage of never change a winning team applies here. There are a lot of new faces, and the players are only just beginning to understand each other's game. I'd be a shame to change it round now if no player deserves to be dropped. As good as he may be, Blanch will have to win his shirt back the hard way (unless others are injured, of course).

| Rebel Rebel I agree completely. The team last week didn't just win they beat the three time premiers in a historic victory. How do you drop one of the players without affecting team morale? All members of that team have earned their spot in the next game provided they are fully fit.
Show them loyalty and they might step up another gear.
