| Good effort so far. 10-10 score is not a fair reflection of the game. Decent crowd too.

| Bj was my MOM, Morrison had a good game and tronc took the ball up well. Thought game was spoiled by referee, when will he realise we have gone to see players and not officials. Thought Catalans were allowed to get away with far too much spoiling in tackles.

| Thought it was a very average match with two very average teams, with Bentham making the average game farcical at times. He spoilt a game with his constant blowing of the whistle at every play the ball. That is Catalans game plan as it was last year to slow the ball down at the play the ball, he let them get away with 8 times out of 10. He penalised Korki in the 2nd half when his foot was being impeded by the tackler.
Thought we looked a yard or two faster this year with the ball in hand in the first half. I amnot a fan of Jeffries because of his inconsistencies and as I have said previously whaen he believes in himself and takes the line on he shows just what a good player he can be. Still too many predictable inside balls but he looks a better player than when he left.
I couldn't make Harelquins last week but from the highlights i thought we conceded some soft tries. This week only added to that, we can not defend on our own line and our defence has to step up and toughen up or Whinos will get a cricket score.Alot of work for Kear and Beans to do in this department.
But at the end of the day a wins a win especially when we were not at our best...and it is nice to say even if it may be brief
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE

| Agree with a lot of what you say there mate, for the most part I thought it was an awful game, a truly shocking spectacle. For me Bentham played a large part in that blowing up what seemed far too often.
If I'm paying 20 quid I want to watch a game of rugby league...2 teams goin at each other, not a stop-start affair with the referee blowing up all the time. It's getting to be a farce nowadays and is gonna end up putting a lot of people off goin.
Not that much that I came away feeling excited about really...thought Morrison was immense and seemed to tackle everything that moved, a full season from him will be like winning the lottery I feel. Jeffries went well and showed just about the only genuine bit of class to set up the try that ultimately turned the game.
Brough had a bit of an up and down game, some great stuff, some not so great, Morton did what he did so well in the academy last year and showed what a great finisher he is.
Thought we looked far better when Tronc and Korki were on, we seemed to start getting bullied a bit by their huge pack when these two went off, but seemed to take control again when they came back on, King did have a couple of good runs before he went off though.
Not the type of debut Paul Johnson would have wanted ...any news on him?

You need to go to specsavers you really do and take Fred with you. Honest to god why do you bother going, cheer up we will lose next week and you can be happy again I wouldn't mind but you both utterly contradict yourself throughout your posts.
What does make you smile, an open grave?

| I thought our forwards on the whole did a brilliant job against a much bigger Catalans pack and who was looking shattered towards the end? them in red...

| Go on then enlighten me Vastman with your thoughts on the game through your red white and blue specsaver glasses. Thought it was an honest assesment of todays game, good in places very average in others and woeful goal line and sliding defence. I appreciate we are at the beginning of the season but it was a very poor standard game overall from both sides...and I repeat we play like that next week, Leeds will thrash us.

Is it not also "the beginning of the season" for Leeds? Clearly they haven't exactly started in great form, so why the assumption that they are going to "thrash us"?

Leeds are gonna click at some point, but if we dont against you lot we are in trouble. I really fancy you lot for the play offs again. A good team well coached.

Leeds are not up to speed and they won't thrash us and if we don't fancy our chances we may as well pack it in.
