Absolutely disgusted but not surprised. Unfortunately today's society generally shows no respect, not even for the recently departed.

At times i have removed that word and i don't really like to see it on the message board but i can't bring myself to do it at this time, it seems to ring true.

I've got 2 relatives laid to rest in the same cemetry, so visit on a regular basis. On top of that, I went to school next door at Bruntcliffe, so it's an area I know pretty well. I've seen other incidents of vandalism when I've been there, indeed we've had small things taken from my step-fathers grave. It's very traumatic, especially for my mum who takes these things.

In my experience, it's always been used by schoolkids as a short-cut into Morley Town Centre, despite the best endeavours of the teachers. That leads to incidents like the chocolate being stolen, as kids do this sort of thing. As you say, a sad state of affairs, but there's only so much people can do.

I'd also slightly disagree about it being adults who knicked the ball. A size 9 shoe isn't that unusual in teenage boys, especially those close to school leaving age.

Once again, I totally agree with the other posters about what sort of person does this, but just wanted to add my thoughts.
