| Maybe players are disciplined. Penalty counts seem more important now.

Don't be fooled.,the game is as dirty as ever, players are just more subtle these days. I would like to see these grapple tackles punished more often. They're a blight on the game.

What has happened to flops, they seem to be accepted as the norm now!

Only if the attacker "surrenders" - which bags the question, shouldn't that be a vol tackle!

Often wondered that myself, just like full backs, when clearing the line, how many are on the way down before the tackle.
Can anybody explain the difference between surrender and voluntary.

Have you noticed how the tactic is now to drop onto your own player who has made the tackle, rather than the opponent, thereby delaying the play ball? Never once seen that penalised as a flop.

A voluntary tackle is when no defender touches the attacking player yet the player stays on the floor though how long you have to wait I don't know. Even if a player falls to the floor without being touched as soon as a defender touches him a tackle has been made and it's not voluntary tackle. If that makes any sense!
