Has anyone else who is flying to Perpignan with BMI baby recieved an e-mail requesting pasport details prior to flying?Is it a scam or a genuine request?

We're flying with BMI to Majorca and have also being asked to give our passport details so I don't think its a scam.

I have. I believe its a genuine request. When flying to Spain you have to give the airline advance passenger information which is your passport details. Apparantly the situation is now the same if flying to France.

I completed the information and got an e-mail back confirming the fact. If you go on to your booking on the web site you will see where they ask for the information.

Sandal Cat is correct, you've had to do it for quite a while if travelling to Spain. The Uk Government has started rolling it out and France became live last month. I got the same from Easyjet for flying to Amsterdam later in the year.

I had it too. If you hover over the link, you will see that there is reference to your name at the bottom of the browser, so I knew it was okay.
