On the website it says blanchy did 96 press ups in one minute on the 10/06/09. I thought he had snapped his cruciate ligament?'"
Does that affect your upper body?
May be a tad painful getting down there but its pretty much all arm work thereafter.

| When i snapped mine i could barely walk for the first six weeks so i wouldnt of though any kind of training would be a good idea. One would assume he has some form of bracket, forest gump stylie which would restrict his movement! Just wondering if he has in fact done his cruciate, can anyone confirm his status?

I snapped (ruptured in medical terms) my anterior cruciate ligament and tore my medial meniscus (carteledge) and with physio was able to get around comfortably after about 4 weeks, would have been quicker if first surgeon i saw had sent for physio straight away. I had my operation to have it reconstructed two weeks ago and am making a very good recovery, was off my crutches after two days. Its all about keeping it moving and excercising it, gone are the days of having your leg in a splint for weeks on end.

| aside from all the talk of injuries...96 press ups in 60 seconds is an absolutely outragious number of press ups in a minute!!!
Is there (seriously) anyone on this forum who considers themselves to be of any decent fitness level to even get close to that? keepin in mind 1 a second is still 36 short....

Almost exactly the same story as mine Uptoncat. It takes a lot of hard work but I did mine near beginning of seaon and missed the rest of the season but was skiing and playing fitter than before the season after. And I wasn't a pro. I did that at the gym while going to work.
So for Blanchy who is full time and already fit, he should have been on a static bike within 4 weeks and having the brace on to walk around. Building up the muscle is most important thing.
