Shocking it was today, Ben Thaler penalised three times on trot in the first half for holding down but no sinbinning which would have changed the game..
We really tired at the end due to this tactic just couldnt get going.

poor excuse we were not good enough didnt play football scored all our points from wigan mistakes i agree he should have sent someone to the bin but on the day wigan were far the better team

No I'm afraid today was one game too many for us. Wigan looked by far the better team and we looked flat and tired.

The game today was an indication of the effect of the sallary cap, 2 very average teams playing a low quality game.

You had enough chances and your defence was poor at times. Penalty count was probably about 15-3 in your favour aswell.

Get a grip! The ref was particularly poor and the touch judges were too! Both teams were offside at many play the balls, both teams were holding down in the tackle and despite the crowd shouting at every Wigan pass, Wakey had their fair share of forward passes!

I'd say it was more down to the demands the game puts on the players nowadays, a game too far for us IMO.

Time for a freshen up next week for me..

Thaler is never a ref that goes overboard on the penalties when i've watched him and i was suprised at times he gave so many.

As for the game overall i wasn't confident at all going into it but thought in the end the scoreline flattered you. We handed 2 trys on a plate to you guys in the first half to keep you in it and unbelievably didn't get the kick away on the last at the start of the 2nd to give you possesion to get the lead. Without those schoolboy errors the game would have been over by halftime.

A poor day at the office for you by the looks of it but you'll be back. I'd still fancy you to beat us in the cup game.

did not go to game so can only quote 2 different commentators who in a round about way suggest that me Nobel should stop throwing stones (Huddersfield) and that wigan spoiled the game . only going by an independent expert though so i guess it must be wrong

no mutley they were bad, however we were never square or onside! the forward pass rule for both sides was ignored, and head high tackles were allowed for today.

dont think it changed the result either way, as john kear said after game it was a "weird game"

no not saying we were robbed or owt it just seemed weird that Mr Nobel should cry about the way another team plays and then employ the tactics to his own team.

Too much time on the sunbed has frazzled Thalers brain. Warns the captain about constant holding down - the very next tackle he penalises them for holding down AGAIN and completely bottles it by failing to sin bin the player. Starting a whip round for Morgan - Thaler was pathetic.

we been there before, we have used the same tactic in the past and won,
today we was out muscled on the floor, we should of made it more clear that we wanted to get on with the game in the tackle,

but to warn a side for blatant holding in the tackle and then to ignore further penalties that was given and not sin bin the offender showed a lack of balls, if you ask me, Thaler has gone down in my estimation,
I can can get over with the odd forward pass and high tackle but he might as well not even bothered with the warning,

fair dos wigan was faster and risked more with their passing, one thing they do know it wasn't a walk in the park because at half time there was nothing between the to sides.

if anything it will harden the resolve for the cup game

Thought we looked a bit jaded today, and our defense not as intense as it has been.

Wigan chucked it wide at pace and it paid off for them. They won, we lost. Move on to next week.

The next penalty was for offside, not, holding down.

You cannot sin bin for offside if you have warned them for holing down.

Very poor argument at best.

Today was a low quality game.

Its an indication of the current standard of SL sadly.
