Having said that, the wording in the tweet "Tomorrow is a very big day for the future of the club. I think the offer will surprise and delight the fans", suggests a little bit more than one extra year at Belle Vue.

Keeping an optimistic and open mind regarding whatever it is.

The word "offer" is the key one. Sounds like a proposal is to be made to the club, no doubt for someone else's personal gain, which the club will reject or accept dependent on its merits. If someone else is benefiting, it'll be reject. Do I detect Sir Rodney doing some slick puppet-mastery?

League Express are reporting that there's some fresh news on the stadium saga and that a decision must be reached by the 20th, I guess the 20th is when the club are releasing season tickets

His website does say he's a Trinity fan and the need for a community stadium was/is his first priority, and he speaks out against the Castleford clique on the council.

Do the club and trust know nothing? Are the club waiting for a time to make an announcement?

Sounds to me more like someone has had a great wheeze about how to screw some money out of a club in a desperate situation, Trinity fan or not. Today will tell, I guess.

Not every organisation or individual in the world considers Twitter the best way to announce future policy.

Dont know Vasty as to whether or not you are lnked up to social media streams such as twitter and facebook.

However, on Antonys tweet, if you read all the repliies and comments, there are a few comments stating that tbose that should be in the know about this, arent.

The club in the past have had a tendancy to keep information to themselves, until all paperwork etc is checked and signed, such as transfers etc.

That is why I am quietly confident, but at the same time keeping a very open mind.

In LE today that we have a meeting with council today. A meeting on Wednesday with council and stadium owner.

Ok, as this has clearly made the press then please let me give you an update from the Trust and Club perspective.

The Club have been asked to attend a meeting today at WMDC, just the club not the Trust. Just so everyone understands, if the Club and the Trust are invited to the meeting then that means that normally at least one of either myself, Ian or Phil attends with Michael and/or Chris. If it is just the Club then it is just Michael and/or Chris, but of course they are also Trustees, so they are open with us about what is said at meetings we are not invited to unless it is purely club related, because that is not the Trusts business.

The club have also then been asked to attend another meeting on Wednesday at which they understand Manni Hussain will be present, along with WMDC. Again, the Trust have not been invited.

Neither the Trust, or the Club, don't really know what the agenda for the meeting is, well I say that, but the Club have been discussing with WMDC where they will play next year and they of course need to start and put season tickets on sale, so the assumption from the Club is will be about that but that is all anyone knew.

Now, as has become to be expected from WMDC unfortunately, they have clearly leaked this out to at least two parties we know of, one of whom was Anthony Calvert. To be fair to him, he then told us what he had been told in confidence last night (unlike WMDC, we are very good as a group as doing that) so while we can't and would not make this public, we do at least think we have an idea of what might now be going on.

So, finally, it appears on the surface at least, to be potentially positive and long overdue good news... but, we have been here before, lots of talk and then ultimately broken promises! We, as always, remain cautiously optimistic but we aren’t holding our breath either!

Just to quickly add as well, do not expect to hear anything from the Club or Trust until at least Wednesday. You might hear from us sooner, but just don't expect to that is all.

So basically Calvert should be keeping quiet instead of getting everyone excited. Like a bit of selfish promotion these clowns.

We or the club have no idea!

However, just so it is made clear to everyone again, and I know Michael and Chris will not mind me effectively speaking on behalf of the club on this one... If Rodney Walker is in anyway involved, in any shape or form, in any stadium project in Wakefield (or anywhere for that matter) then Wakefield Trinity, will never, ever pass or kick a ball in it!

Sounds like a good proposal has been made regarding the community stadium. After years of false promises lets see what happens.
