Well done lads for putting these posinous individuals in their place now keep it coming.'"
Not really - I've just said great to get two points.
Buts it's nice to see you crawl back from under whatever rock you were hiding after last weeks embarrassment.

That my friend is how revivals start. A team doesn't wake up one day and be good after years of being bad you have to grind out results and earn the right. Hopefully this is the begining of the process. We won three games last season and IMHO none were as difficult as this one appeared to be so a big well done.
I still reckon we have a few more lows to go but hopefully a few more highs will punctuate themicon_biggrin.gif

| Good to get the 2 points, great defensive effort but plenty to work on with the ball and with our discipline. Hull KR are awful but you can only beat what is front of you, thankfully they couldn't kick for toffee! A platform to build from.

Your outburst last week where you spat venom at just about anyone you could think of was the nastiest and most gutless peice of so called suppporting I'd ever seenon these forums and that's saying something. What would be the point in responding to such bigotted nonesense, it's not like you want to listen is it? For you to have your nose put out of joint is such a joy.
It must feel great for Smith and the boys to rub the face of no marks like you into the mud

| I wish we didn't have Warrington next week!
Good to see tick in the 'win' column. I can't work out yet how it's going to go this year. We've played the same three teams as our first three games last year, and got one less win. On the other hand, we've exited the third game with an improvement. Onwards and upwards, as they say.

| Didn't go today but listening to all that on Radio Humberside is even more nerve racking than being there
Sounds like some of the last gap defence was terrific especially in the second half. However the high penalty
count amongst other things was very annoying, just wondering if Hicks was his usual pedantic self or most were
justified , can anyone help who attended.

| I'm delighted with the 2 points and can't fault the commitment of the players. It wasn't pretty but it was enough.
I do think we seriously need to work on discipline, that is 3 matches in a row where we've conceded too many penalties and at the wrong times. Their 3rd try was from a 3rd/4th consecutive set in our half and it is inevitable with that sort of pressure.
I'm happy with the result but think we have a long way to go. Next Friday at Warrington is a massive step up which might be asking too much.
Looking back at today, we aren't too creative in attack and I'm not sure when that will change. Rovers can console themselves with some big names due to comeback, we need to focus on discipline and keep that tight defence going.

| Yes, a win is a win as they say, and will take that. Jacob Miler did say in week that a win was just around the corner, and it would give the boys that shot in the arm they need, onward and upward.
It was a very scrappy game, ruined yet again from a very incompetent referee.
Still not creating anything though which is frustrating. Finn did however have a better game. Would still look to give Hall a chance next week.
Today's game was won by the defence, team spirit, and working for each other.
The car journey home was good, my wife is a Rovers fan, and the last time I was the one with a smile was 2012 (Sykes last minute dropgoal)

| Well we make it hard for ourselves don't we.
I bet on the win today as I was confident but to be honest we could have won by a lot more.
It was great to see such good defence. Every player was making excellent 1-1 tackles and Rovers only got near our line with penalties.
Some were definitely incorrect decisions from Hicks but some were through our dumb play. We have to tidy that up.
Half backs weren't good enough on last tackle but both were great in defence.
My MoM would be Howarth. Tackled hard and tackled everything. Took his try well too. Top scorer with 3 now.
I thought England was his usual self.
Molloy and Simon made a big difference coming in to the team.
Lyne was great in defence and attack without actually getting a good pass.
I personally thought Johnstone's try should have stood and he had a good game with no mistakes.
All in all, a lot of improvement but a lot more needed too.

July 1st 2015. We conceded 3 tries to Hull FC in a 26-16 win. Our previous SL win also.

The only thing that was embarrassing today was the performance of the officials, due to their inept display especially the referee so under the circumstances it was a very hard earned win, but don't let that get in the way of you putting a downer on it, maybe if the referee had been as lenient with us as he was with them when defending, it might have rendered your whinge academic, but then you'd probably find another negative

| That was a well hard fought battle today thought we lost a little bit of spark when Howarth went off but the state of the pitch and some odd things the ref gave it was always going to be tough even for the best of sides. still plenty of work to do and some hard games to come if there was ever an easy one but the full effort was there today that's all you can ask

| Great result, so glad I went with family, everyone got behind the team, some great defensive sets, after some appalling referee decisions. This is how I saw it,,,,
Anakin, Simon made a difference in the forwards, with England again showing great game time energy and a cracking hit on Kelly,
Agree MOM Howarth great feet for his try and along with England never missed a tackle
Finn was a lot better and as the game went on his confidence grew and he starting to kick smart also in harsh conditions kicked both conversions that was the difference. Hopefully more to come.
Miller still poor for me, just no confidence, Walton needs to calm down composure, looks slightly wreck less at times,
Johnstone game saving tackle on I think was shaw ?showed great concentration as he had no right to get there and have power to put him In touch, well pleased for lad as he has taken a few digs over his defensive efforts in weeks previous
BJB was solid great handling in windy conditions and got better metres returned.
Defensive game was pretty spot on from everyone,
All in all great away win, our discipline has to improve as better sides will run riot if we give that amount of field position away through lazy penaltys.
I really thought with more composure and a better kicking game we could have ran away with it as for 15 mins of second half we had great control and field possession but mistakes on 1-2 tackle kept us hanging on to final hooter
Overal much more positive than negative, and away from home poor conditions, aweful referee, great result, we all said this was a must win game, well the boys delivered!!!!
Well done boys!!!

| Willzy . I kind of half new you would give a negative comment about the team performance today.. We were not fantastic but you can't fault the effort mate. Listen to the audio boom interview that brian smith gives.
It's going to take time, and I think you should try to be a bit more positive.
I've just read Wayne bennetts book. Don't die with the music in you.its not just about rugby, he also talks about life in general, and I think you and some others might be the benefactor of some of the stuff this bloke writes about.you never know it MIGHT just change your outlook on what's happening here at trinity and life in general.
