Its a great idea but can you only nominate one cause? Sorry but in my opinion there's a lot more worthy causes to give it to than a PROFESSIONAL rugby club if thats the case.

Donate to the other causes then and we didn't ask for your opinion on this cause which of course is subjective as everyone's is. Look at the plethora of causes on there covering a range of things in society and contact those that you disagree with also maybe? 
Just because we donate to this cause doesn't mean that some of us don't raise money for Cancer Research and other worthwhile causes by doing charity events etc as we do. There are a number of organisations trying to raise funds it is not purely for charities. Some people don't believe in charities either because they feel the welfare state should support those most vulnerable in society but don't. We could go on and on but this is a forum for those that love rugby league and WTW not politics.... |

If I'm reading the tool bar correctly it says Cause Donations : £67.38. I guess the Club will receive a £67.38 donation for goods purchased to date.

The money raised on this could be a fair wedge if we get big numbers on board. Four of my recent online orders not been added to total yet looks like some companies take a little longer to put their payment through. If we all get family n friends to sign up that shop online could end up a good earner for our club.

To put in context, it could earn between 5 and 10 grand based on current donations. I've struggled like hell this week to get a sponsor to sign up for the same amount. And it costs nothing. I booked a hotel exactly like I normally would, just went through the site first. Simples.
Think we'll put a prize up for the top supporter at end of season

Most major retailers on there but very few that sell tools only one I could see was screwfix. If you put the toolbar add on they recommend whenever you enter a website in the scheme it gives you option to tick for donation to WTW. I felt same when I signed up as had booked my holiday week before and would have made club a tidy sum. I'm sure we will all be ordering a fair bit online in lead up to Christmas every bit helps.

Daddy Cool you are missing a trick here.
If you make a prize available at the end of the year you are not keeping this scheme in the spotlight.
If you make it a monthly prize then you can have a pic up on the website Twitter Facebook at regular intervals throughout the year thereby drip feeding the idea to fans on a regular basis. If you award a prize at the end of the year by then it's too late. Most fans will be motivated more to join if they see the monthly competition winner recieving their prize from a player. Promote the winner re website and social media rather than on the pitch at half time as a lot of fans cannot hear the PA at games thus losing the impact.
To those joining. Get the toolbar feature installed. When you are shopping online the option to donate pops up automatically without you going through the site itself and without having to search to see if your online retailer us included in the scheme or not.

Just discovered something very interesting. I signed up to Foxy Bingo when the offer first came out. I have just signed up again using a different email address and hey presto another £50 in the coffers. If you can afford it sign up again like I did, create a new email if you only have one at the moment. Could be on to a real winner here!

In addition to this you could encourage further innovative ideas to raise funds for the club by giving awards out to those successful ones like a WTW Star Award Suggestion Scheme? |
