If the answer to this has something to do with Dewsbury's application for a SL license....

| Why are we bothering about cru anyway. What's been done has been done there's nothing anyone can do about it now. Might as well accept it that they're here for the long haul or until they go pop again. Is it fair probably not but neither is life. Teds the one to blame for our current predicament not cru quins les cats or even the rfl.

Either way, Hauraki was sold to Leeds so the OP's point is invalid.

| Quote ="altofts wildcat"What were the reasons for going into administration? Surely the only reason you do go in is because you can't afford to pay the bills.'" The North Wales based owners put the club into administration for a brief period to help manage the debts that were mostly accumulated by the people who owned the club when it was based in South Wales (and shambolically run). Once the debts were cleared, the same people took the club out of administration. It was a measure to allow the club to clear a lot of long-standing inherited debts and effectively allow them to start with a clean slate. They weren't looking for a new buyer or someone to 'save' the club, they just needed some help paying off a lot of debts.
I'm not a Crusaders fan FWIW and certainly not someone looking to 'stick the knife in'.

Not based in Wrexham either by what you have typed.
For your information the 2 people Moss and Roberts, who took Crusaders into administration and out again are in the process of selling the soccer club, possibly to a Mr.Vaughan who laundered money and took Widnes into administration. As for[url=http://www.redpassion.co.uk/forums/crusaders-rugby/69930-list-crusaders-creditors-full-administrators-report.htmlshambolically run[/url Moss and Roberts trump Samuels.

| Wouldnt be having this discussion if our own inept bod hadnt run this once great club into the ground. Think we need to stop blaming others for our woes and take responsiblity for our self.

Cleared!!!! You mean written off. And that is the reason people are PI$$ed off on here, you owed 3 times what we are believed to owe, yet our squad is being sold off left right and centre.

The Crusaders had the Racecourse ground as colateral. You have no assets other than the players. The Crusaders still owe some money but the owner is repaying that debt. They didn't have all their debts written off, which is why they received a four point deduction rather than six. But it is the ground that is the difference: if your ground hadn't been sold there would have been a big asset there.
But it's a real shame this is happening to Wakey and I feel for the fans. I do hope Andrew Glover hasn't backed off and that things will come good very soon.

No, he doesn't live in Wrexham which is why his location reads South Wales.
I know that Moss and Roberts are selling the football club but I can state with total certainty that the club was run better at Wrexham last year than at any point I have witnessed previously.
For around half a season in South Wales there was no merchandise to buy at all. If that is not shambolic for a Super League club then I'm not sure what is. The stability off the field helped, I am sure, to progression on it. The thing that winds me up more than anything is that it is this rubbish attempt at Super League which now means people will instantly rubbish any talk of it coming back to South Wales. A South Wales club could survive if run properly but we'll not know until people realise how bad the job was last time and the fact we finished bottom with a handful of wins over the entire year.
For what it is worth I wish Wakfield all the luck in the world in staying in the league. A lot may blame us for part of it but the game needs to expand or die. Good luck and hope you pull through as it is always the fans that suffer and yours are some of the best.

Welcome to the roler-coaster financial game of SL. Thank you for the comments and it does at least show that expansion has helped to bring along new supporters like yourself. I will now place my helmet on my head before I get shot down by some of the Wakie fans on here!

Eh? When has anyone blamed Crusaders or Quins for us going in to administration,we all know who's feet that falls at. All that has been said, is in regard to how their clubs administration went down and about their points deduction, which is rather fitting because it's what were going through.

What you mean is the Crusaders are guaranteed SKY money for the next 3 seasons and so the RFL can afford to lend them money knowing they will be able to pay it back.
We, on the other hand are almost guaranteed to be kicked out and therefore they won't lend us a bean as they can't guarantee us having the income to pay it back.
Strange that isn't it when allegedly the franchise decisions are not being made until July??
The fact remains that Crusaders were aloowed to write off somewhere in the region of £1.5Million and the only debt they carried forward was money owed to the RFL. Whereas we are being forced to sell numerous players to pay off substantially lower debts.

Dont take this as a dig at crusaders supporters, because it isn't, but live by the sword die by the sword.
This is the results of RFL expansionist meddling, that cocks it up for the supporters of whatever club, and because the RFL is run by a bunch of power crazy chimps, they cant see that with every short term tweak to benefit one of its favoured clubs, it causes long term problems for supporters in that they are the focus of any resentment and hostility from other supporters.
It also unevens the balance that has resulted in over a hundred years of development in the game generally and causes clubs with every right to continue (if there run correctly and responsibly) on an even kilter.
This clearly is not the case because the RFL mandate is one of change, well they may well get their change in the end, it could well be expansion or it could also be the death of the game.

I wish Crusaders well, I really do. (Well those who know me will say "you would tho' "icon_wink.gif. And after Saturday's showing, it looks like you have something good to look forward to.
You, as a club, have done what was needed to stay afloat, as we have for the last 11 or so years.
As a fan, it's out of your hands. You can only follow what is served up to you.
It is not your fault we are where we are, but from where we are, it is easy to point the finger that there is not a level playing field.
On a personal note, I have for a few seasons had enough of Sooper Dooper League and visiting 'fans' bitching about having to soil their souls by even coming to BV.
If we have somewhere to play, and have a club, I will look forward to NL rugby.

Nothing hypocritical at all, as far as I'm aware, Crusaders didn't overspend on average players in Wakefield#'s squad nor employ 3 people in one role at Belle Vue!
