It was cracking game though. Think Hull FC came out on top in every department. Yeaman putting Clint Newton on his ar5e was a classic.
Brisco's last gasp tackle on the badge kisser was a fantastic effort. International class winger against show pony: only one winner really. The way Calderwood accelerated past that pedestrian on KR's other wing showed a difference in class too.
Cockayne proving to be a liability once again giving Hull FC the early impestus with cheap high shots.

I didn't think Yeaman's cowardly act was in any way a 'classic'; he grabbed Newton by his shirt from behind and pulled him over, then legged it. Looked a bit girly to me. Also thought Cockayne, despite being one of the biggest thugs in the game, was unfairly penalised for the early 'high shot' - there was nothing in it, despite Eddie's best attempts to claim 'intent'.

Agree with you about Briscoe's tackle on Fox though - that was pure class.

Overall, not the blistering derby game that the Sky bods were desperate to paint it as; both sides did exactly what we did against Hull FC last week, only not as efficiently.

You're kidding yourself there mate,it had ten times the atmosphere and the hype from the commentators,that's all,a very similar game to last weeks,and I watched both perfectly sober!

I was in Perpignan speaking to someone connected to the club when i was told Fox would be leving us for HKR. The simple fact was that they offered him double what he was on at Wakey. You can not blame Fox for taking that as everyone on here would do if they were offered the double what you were on for doing the same job. What does not sit comfy with us the true fans is as the title of this thread, how he kissed the badge and made out how he loved the club so much. It has bee said before about all sportsmen who do this...means nothing JUST LIKE A BADGE OF A DAFT CAT ...IT MEANS NOTHING.

Anyone who thinks the game between our two teams last week was anything compared to the Derby are fooling themselves. The intensity in the Derby was high and although it wasn't high in skill games like that never are (take Wigan/Wire for example). In stark contrast, the week before we played the worst we have all season IMO we looked so flat and lacked so much intensity, the reasons for was probably somewhat down to your effective tactics and somewhat down to our players with the Derby on their mind IMO. You deserved your win but your team was very average (although understandable after your thumping by Hull KR the week before) and that made it all the worse to lose to you.
