Unfortunately Brough seems to have lost it. We managed towards the back end of last season with Miller and Rocky and the addition of Brough hasn't proved successful. Brough was described as the final piece of the jig saw but its not happened.

Brough wasn't better at all.

Miller put the pass in the gave us the break for his try too.
He's played better in the past of course but I thought he was ok today.

In all the trys we scored Brough had no involvement with all of them down the left other than Hampshire’s individual effort. It is time to revert back to Miller and Hampshire, with Escare at full back.

Plenty of effort but poor application and organisation on the field led to our downfall today, still offering nothing in attack and was easily read with telegraph passes.Our attacking line is still as flat as a fart with players receiving the ball stood still .Sneyd had far too much time with ball in hand for my liking, and should have been harassed every time he took the pass .Thought hull were going to put a big score on us but credit to the lads the heads didn’t go down and kept having a dig.
In all honesty I think we’ll scrape through this season,then it’s got to be a change at the top as it looks like he’s taken this team as far as he can

Its now Chris Chester call, and as the saying goes the worst thing he can do, is to do nothing.

Miller has stopped taking on the line . He either passes straight away or run sideways and give a hospital pass to one of the forwards .In the practice we were drawing a man and passing to put a player through the gap but that seemed to be forgotten in the game . I know it's difficult when a teams defence is moving up quickly but that can be countered by the attacking line standing deep and timing runs on to the ball. But what do I know. I have only been watching rugby for 60 years.

I’d like to drop both but i’m not sure thats feasible right now, so i’m going for dropping Brough and reinstating the Miller & Hampshire partnership that worked alright last year.

Well at least we have that option. Lets be thankful that our crazy coach failed in his plan a few weeks back when he tried to offload Hampshire to Shudds in return for Roberts.

Absolutely agree. Our right edge yields nothing, yet Brough (and to some extent Hampshire) play that way. Tanginoa fills that left second row berth really well with Tupou in the centre.

Alternatively if Chester sticks with Brough then Atkins has to come in for Lyne, because something needs to change down that side. With the service BJB is getting we may as well stick Pauli Pauli on that wing.

He was happy to drop Pauli Pauli and Max but he has a blind spot in respect of Brough. What has he got to lose after our current run of form, I doubt it would make the performance any worse and who knows it might be what is needed in the halves.

Looking at yesterday’s game yes the half’s were poor and offered little to nothing in attack but that’s only half the story I’m afraid .The whole way we attack is shambolic with players taking long passes stood and not running onto the ball ,I watch all sky games and it doesn’t seem a problem to other teams,in fact it’s a basic of the game and we can’t or won’t do it. Why have we stopped offloading in or before the tackle ,we’ve got the five drives and a kick off to a fine art ,twice yesterday Toupou could have unloaded to escare who had a clear run to the line but took the tackle ,it’s not a dig at toupou its a dig at whoever ,whatever has turned these player into such one dimensional players.This team has played sensational rugby over the last season or two ,what the hell has gone so wrong for them to now play like they are just starting out together, we struggle to get the basics right on game day so set movers are pie in the sky until something dramatically changes at the club.
I’ll be going to hull kr as a matter of loyalty and hoping for improvements not the points I’m afraid .

Is effective down broughs side is because he's so slow the defence know he's never going to run with it, he runs sideways takes all the space and It makes everyone else look bad.

Fans can call for rocky with brough escare with brough it won't make any difference because brough is simply too dominant, he wants 5 balls to himself, fin piece of jigsaw my backside his legs went ages ago. Address the problem of brough and it will turn our way

This won’t happen. Chester suffers from CCBW syndrome, the curse of British coaches and will never drop Brough or Miller.

It is costing us and all we can hope now is by some miracle Brough has one good, not even great, just good performance left in him because Chester will not change. In fact the more obvious the change and the more demanding the fans get the more he will dig in! It’s tragic it really is.

Hampshire may not be the answer but he’s far more worthy than a 35 year old has been and a lazy Aussie. The fans never wanted Brough, then for a while we looked like we were wrong, we weren’t.

The club identified Brough to provide the final link, it aint happened. Other than drop Brough what are the options, could he play at 9. I think the club tends to show loyalty to some and gives the impression it couldn't care less about others. Its stance with Rocky seems crazy and the off loading to Shuds even worse. We have a squad that I honestly think could have coped better if used correctly with the injury situation. I don't know for sure I just think CC probably would have offered his resignation based on the results. We lack a spark on the pitch and CC seems to lack a basic understanding of his squad and capabilities, somethings just not right.
The reluctance to change things at 6 and 7 could send the club down and if we stay up what will happen next season persisting with with Miller and Brough

Unless we get half back injuries Brough shouldn’t play again this season. If Reynolds had still been at club would have put him in front of Brough. Slow,predictable and lacking ideas would be words to describe him for a few months now. Sometimes in the past his kicking game has helped but even that is poor now. If Chester isn’t to go then he needs the balls to drop him and go with Miller and Ryan

Hull slowed the play down alot but we're simply not good enough. At the moment we offer nothing going forward (unless Daves on the field), too many balls taken from stand still and nobody looking to support half the time. Neither Brough or Miller delivering the goods at the mo, so for me it'd be going back to Miller & Hamsphire in the halves and put Escare at full back. Still lacking intent and aggression in defense bar one or two players.

It's seems the consensus from most of us is the attacking play is dreadful, Flat lines and poor passing play are making us so easy to defend against.
Not quite sure why everybody blaming miller for most of the poor play i must be watching a different game then, Lack of any angle runs or combinations set plays have dried up we should be doing so much better with the players at our disposal it's criminal.

And we bring in Morgan escare and put him on the wing were he looked bored shztless until he got the ball he was the only one i thought that showed a bit of class looking dangerous looking for gaps or someone to run into one, If chester doesn't want to play Max's at fb then put rocky at fb and m escare in the halves we would have great pace in the halves and a possible a very good combo with rocky in support of escare.

Unfortunately it's not working with Danny brough he's getting targeted all the time a bit like pauli pauli so things need to change now because we are running out of games to put it right.
