10728 Fans turned out to watch yesterdays game, so glad I was one of them. For me it was a great day of rugby league, we had some good banter with the Cas fans we sat next to in the bar before and again with the Cas fans we were stood in front of during the game.
Hope they find and prosecute those few idiots that were foolish on the day and let themselves down big style.
To the 10700 that joined me from both sides of the common in behaving well in what was a cracker of a match all the best for the 2015 season.

We held back after the game due to my father inlaw having parkinsons so hopefully avoiding any pushing and shoving.We encountered the said Cas fans involved ,when he spotted the Trin badge on my coat,the language directed towards the remaining Trin fans was unbelievable and not for a 85yr old's hears.Yould think after one good hiding he'd learn to keep his foul mouth shut.

Same on Calendar as they led with the fact that Wakefield have said they will ban anyone found guilty of the offence but to be fair then followed this with a report on the game and how well we did.

In the last 2 - 3 years you see smoke bombs (pyros) every week at football particularly at away matches, be it thrown on the pitch, in the stands on the concourse even in the pubs. Usual rule is if culprit found they're ejected and if cctv evidence they're prosecuted, obviously it's harder to police in an old rl ground but I've never heard of an away club been fined because of it. I had a feeling we would end up seeing pyros at the rugby we are the first but probably not the last.

To see how popular pyros have become in the UK, just do a twitter search of #nopyronoparty. We may be the first rugby league game to see a pyro this season but I doubt we'll be the last.

Its a criminal offence to take a smoke bomb into a sports ground, Hull KR "fans"had them 2 years ago and anyone caught should be banned for life imo.

For all your ranting I always believed you had the best interests of the club at heart.

Fact is -
1) carrying a smoke bomb into a stadium and setting off and throwing on the pitch is illegal those who did this hopefully will be found, banned and charged by police - whoever they are

Now for the other stuff reports of intimidating activity, fighting etc isn't needed or historical associated with your typical RL follower.... I see a number of fans who shall we say aren't overly aware of their responsibilities as a supporter.

We represent the club.... We are the club ... So when I read "this ain't so bad" and get over it only a smoke bomb comments on here and some of our "fans" pages on social networking I get worried as it says to me these people are taking the healthy tribalistic us v them and turning it into something unsavoury with there own little "firm" with a forget everyone attitude.

Here's my two penneth. I say follow the letter of the law like one reasonable man has already suggested on this forum. Ban for 3 months from entering a stadium. Wakefield should not be fined thousands of pounds over the actions of these two morons. The punishment certainly wouldn't fit the crime.

I believe you can't pick and choose which laws you obey - however the flip side is that if as you say it's 3 month thats fine and it's all it should be none of that making example rubbish. Why WTWRLFC should be fined for this is truly unfair in my book but I'm not sure what the situation is, I would however hope for some sympathy from the RFL considering how much effort has been put into turning this club around - and lets be honest it's the club that will suffer - bit like cutting ones nose off to spite ones face.

are we actually getting a fine? i know carter said this when he stormed the pitch but did he just say it out of anger at the heat of the moment or are we 100% due a fine. I know warrington, widnes and hull KR have all had pyro incidents, were they fined?

If you liken crowd trouble to speeding, this incident might be like getting caught doing 34mph in a 30mph zone, petty but nevertheless stupid when you know you should not be doing it, any leniency you might be hoping for is negated by the fact that it's not the first time so the excuses aren't as convincing, so you get the fine and in the words made famous by Willy Shakespeare you suck it up, only difference is in this case it will be the club and the fans' what feel the pain, hopefully the RFL will agree with some of the posters' on here what for some reason want to trivialise it.
Maybe they'll say it's Castleford's fault for poor stewarding at their ground but then maybe not, I wonder if all those on here dismissing it as a mere prank including our mate JK whose main aim was to cause mischief on here, will think the same if we get a fine.

My take on the trouble after the game, both teams have troublesome fans, these need to be rooted out, Wakey speccis, if you know the Wakey fans involved, name them to the club, let them put their side of the story, ditto Cas fans.
I know reading the Casforums that people know who the Cas fans who were attacking/attacked Wakey fans are as they've been named, get it sorted by the people in authority, simple.

The problem is this is the 3rd time in under 3 years we have been investigated for crowd issues. As a club we are gaining an undesirable reputation and as the RFL want the game to remain to be be seen as the 'family game' then i doubt they will be impressed. It seems to be a growing problem within a few of our fans and it needs nipping in the bud quickly, which is exactly why the perpetrators should be made an example of to show that we will not accept behaviour contrary to the rules. Throw the book at them and show we are getting tough and it might stop future issues and the RFL might go a little easier. Taking a soft option and next time it might not be just a moderately dangerous missile like a smoke bomb but actually a flare or firework. Then we have a major problem on our hands.

Sadly I'm pretty sure this isn't just our club that has a minority of nutmegs, we've had problems off the top of my head with, St Helens, Widnes, Cas, Hull FC, Hull KR, I've been abused and threatened by Wigan fans at Wembley for wearing my Wakey shirt, been spat at in Perpignan by Catalans supporters.
We've all got them but they must be rooted out and banned, but let's not think we're the only bad 'uns.

My take on the smoke bomb thing is that those responsible should be asked to meet MC and let him explain the potential consequences to the club of incidents like that. Trying to be charitable, the people who took them in and set them off probably did just think it would look great and would add atmosphere, etc, without any malicious thinking beyond that. If they are young lads, let them apologise and understand the potential impact and then carry on.

As for the fighting, the one thing I do take from the incidents at Cas and against Widnes is that our fans do not tend to start the trouble. We have perhaps a few, however, who are a bit too quick to respond to baiting. I know Sunday is tricky, because it sounds like the Cas lads went in swinging, and then people defend themselves and it drags others in, but there are a few who could perhaps do with learning to rise above it.

I do think that increased segregation is part of the problem, in that fans have got used to going to most grounds and being offensive to the opposition fans, knowing that there is no mixing, and it doesn't carry on outside. Then problems arise when old habits carry on in non-segregated grounds.

Definitely don't think wakey should be fined. MC is doing his damnedest to find the culprits, has spoken of his utter frustration and is running an investigation on it. Very harsh that a club should be punished due to 2 mindless idiots. A shame there was any bother because I was thrilled with a crowd of 10,700. That's the biggest crowd for a cas game not involving Leeds in have seen at wheldon road.
