| Away at Warrington, went down 42.24.some good performances today from a young side against a well drilled Wire side.Showed a bit of inexperience when defending their try line out wide on the last takle which led to a couple of soft tries but, overall I was pleased with how they are working as a team in defence and attack. The also scored the best 2 tries of the game and the individual skill from Wakeys number 7 to score was worth the entrance money it's self, outstanding .But we ll done to all involved and keep improving

Was the No7 Christian Ackroyd?
Without knowing either line up its hard to be sure of the performance but at face value it looks like a decent effort. Reason being, Warrington do very little below U16s but get the cheque book out to fill their Academy U19s with some of the very best tallent from other clubs Youth programmes, the result being a very strong U19s.
So while 42 - 24 looks like a bit of a touch up, when set in context it probably isn't.

True Avenger, the result does look like it was all Wire but 2 or 3 wire try's at least could have been prevented,I think you and myself could have got nearer .the pleasing thing for the eye was we didn't play one man rugby and threw the ball about and created at times problems, when it didn't we got punished, the older end ,Jordan,Max,Swaney,Brad Moules,Declan and Keiron stood up well.I think it is Ackroyd, caused some problems throughout the game and even got a bit of roughing up from Wire, defenately a player with huge prospect in the future.

| Sounds like Morgan Smith was the difference and he's a Wakefield lad so We can take a bit of credit for their win.

I have seen him off load to fresh air and then complain that someone should of been there, he's certainly not frighten of pushing the barrier and chancing his arm

| Am I right that some clubs are offering large amounts of cash to U16's players - to unseat them from their scholarship places? Here was me thinking that all SL clubs were growing their own - I wasn't aware there was such a ruthless market for young players. And if they are doing that, how does the RFL rate them under their new grading system - surely offering 16 year old lads a big wad of cash is not a replacement for a viable youth set-up?

I suspect there's just been a very large case of this in the last few days!

| I'm surprised that it's allowed to happen - I realise that market forces are at work and that players have a value, but it seems unsavoury that a club can sit back, do very little at U16, then hoover up all the best kids that other clubs have produced purely by force of cheque book; should young lads be subject to that form of ruthlessness at 16 years old?
And that's not to mention the total disregard for the community clubs who provide SL clubs with the raw material in the first place.

Really!! Morgan is a Cas lad went to Cas academy.
Either way he's a good talent and seems very level headed. Has a junior he collected plenty of colours playing with fev lions,Cas panthers, normanton and Stanley. He's continued that trend having already been at Leeds and now at Warrington by all accounts for a good sum of money.
That would be my only concern that he's been pushed from pillar to post and never really settled.

Like they all seem to do from over the common, constantly seeking way to score points over us especially when we've just beat them.

| Tris from Harry Swan,Tom Johnstone,Jordon Crowther and unable to get the other 2 try scorers names, sorry but a great team performance by young lads against a experienced ,mature side,2 pretty simple kick missed which would have made it 30 ,but still a geat victory for an improving side.
