Why do people insist on calling it Newmarket Lane, Rothwell ??????

If you type "Newmarket Lane" into Google maps, the first option it suggests is "Wakefield"...the third option is "Leeds", but this is the Newmarket Lane at Cross Green NOT ROTHWELL, and the fourth option is "Methley". THERE IS NO NEWMARKET LANE AT ROTHWELL and if you do type it in, it brings up Newmarket Lane, Methley !!!

I would have expected the plans in a little earlier than May but providing all is lined up and ready to go onsite upon permission being granted then I see no real problem.

I take it no legal challenge came from the nimbys then? Anyone know?

Another stadium meeting today things seem to be going well behind the scenes for our new community stadium. Hope we hear or see the plans soon

I hope works on Newmarket Lane Wakefield starts sooner rather than later.

There Might be a new Train Station being built close to the Development looking at the the new HS2 plans, with wesgat getting taken off the Leeds to Kings Cross stops, might make access for away supporters even easier, however its a few years down the line (excuse the pun

) but looks good for the area.

The Birmingham to Leeds HS2 only stops at five stations so there won't be one anywhere near Newmarket.

What makes you certain of that? looking at the proposal on the interweb the only stations between Leeds and Birmingham are Meadowhall and Toton in the East midlands (near Long Eaton) so not sure where you get 5 station from.

Even less likely then.
