What’s demoralising is that we are no better as a club than we were 20 years ago when we were promoted to SL!

No nearer on a stadium, no money in the club and certainly no better as a team & coaching staff!
The Wembley thing is just a symbol or reminder of our stagnation!

Yet I would say there's an argument to be made that individually we have the best bunch of players we've had and that's why there is so much heat on Chester

Peaks and troughs. Did you miss 2004, 2009, 2017 or just turn a blind eye?



And names like Pearman, Richardson, Glover, Box and Mackie a reminder of our resilience

No need to worry about inspiring the next generation of young fans, we can just quote the names of Pearman & Box at them and watch their eyes light up!

You couldn't be further from the truth. We are massively different imho.

Ah well! I suppose I could settle down in my armchair with a glass of Jack Daniels in my hand, close my eyes and recall the ecstasy of our Yorkshire cup final victory over Sheffield Eagles 27 years ago. Aaaaah! What memories! Halcyon Days, indeed.

Again you take a simplistic view.

What happened with the growth and improvement during the 2nd and 3rd seasons? Were you at Fax away in May 2000 when we hit rock bottom with half our players not getting paid and half of our fans walking out at half time? Were you at Salford at the end of 2001 to see us hang in despite fines and points deductions. The good old days eh?

You think we are better now?

We’re bottom of the league with a record of 26 losses from the last 31 games Vs SL opposition
We’ve had players calling for a strike due to a pay dispute
The club hasn’t got a pot to pi.. urinate in
The stadium is almost completely unchanged
The fan base is around the same

20 years of progress eh!

What’s simplistic about that, in every detail we are almost as bad or worse.
At least 20 years ago we had ambition on and off the field!

Well we clearly have different understandings of how we see our club within the community and Super League.

Weve got more bulbs working in the floodlights

We have also got a garden shed at the top of the north stand

I have heard from a good source that Mr Carter is going to pull the trigger and quit the club. I would like to know from the eternal optimists on here i.e. Mopsey Lives On & The Avenger etc the way forward then for the club.

Just like a coach, an owner isnt the be all and end all, he's done a great job firstly stablising the club and also overseeing some relatively good seasons, but if he wants to go so be it. It's not like the club are reliant upon director funding. One thing I am certain of is that a white knight certainly isnt going to appear and change the fortunes of this club anytime soon.

If Mr.Carter wants to go, id be a bit disappointed after season ticket holders have waived their option of a refund to help the club this season.

You're wrong there if it was at the top it would be on the roof of the North Stand and probably viewed as a work of art but there is a wooden shed at the rear and centre of the North Stand which I believe is used as an outlet for the sale of drinks, To be classed as a Garden Shed it would need to be, well, in a garden. I appreciate there is a fair bit of undergrowth at the back of the North Stand but no way can it be classed as a garden. You may have also noticed other wooden structures around the ground used for a similar purpose. Please a little more accuracy in your snide comments

I think MC has done a fantastic job at this club, working with peanuts compared to the so called 'top' clubs.
I sincerely hope he isn't going, because I feel the bloke is genuine with Trinity at heart, and there's no doubt he has worked tirelessly in the clubs interests. Didn't him and CB put there own homes at risk saving this club from folding? How many of the posters on here who now treat him with contempt would have done that? answer - None!
Another thing is how long will the queue be for his replacement-non existent I would think.

If MC leaves the club, then I believe it would be the end of Trinity. Remember, the club has a £3.million+ council loan to repay. default on payment will result in the loss of BV. This, along with all the other financial difficulties Covid and other the club is facing, simply means No one is likely to step into MCs shoes. Be thankful for what we have now, the future is looking bleak enough.

If Mr Carter is going sad day for the club .He as done a great job and by far the best person we have had running this club.

Stuart Hadfield was a massive loss for Trinity back in the day. Losing Michael Carter would, although for vastly different reasons, be comparable. IMHO

I agree Wollo and to make that comparison shows just what high esteem MC is held in by most of the supporters I feel.

Very very few of the posters on here treat him with contempt if any. Why are we making out that people are against the owner. The majority of Wakefield fans are well behind Michael Carter. Some however question his loyalty towards the coach. There is such a thing as nuance.

The building behind the north stand is or was, used as storage, for such as furniture from players houses. Used to be a real mess inside. Could have been put to better use I think
