The Superleague and all the away teams and supporters don't deserve having your Stadium inflicted on them.

Ever thought that the presence of roofs could be part of the problem, because in high winds they sometimes fly off, or pieces fall off the front?

Would you have been prepared to watch the game on the condition that should you be struck by flying debris of any kind, you will not hold the club personally liable in any way?

The main downside for me is that this was probably the best time to play them. By the time we do play them, Falou will be up to speed and Catalans will have hit their usual mid-season good patch.

What I was meaning is that Sheffield is famously built on a number of hills (7 I think). I Saif it was flooded on the way to the motorway but that is uphill away from town in the opposite direction to Bramhall Lane, so not an indication of what the flooding was like there.

Still dont think it should be arranged for a monday night mainly for catalans benefit crowd will be lower and clubs food and beer takings would be much lower though hat glove and scarf sales may go up

Only a few seasons ago it was ‘just a bit of sleet’, remind us all how that turned out. The British weather is notoriously difficult to predict, something to do with us being an island, don’t know if you knew that.

It’s a game of RL it will happen when it happens, it’s not the Apollo missions.

I was 100% behind yesterday’s decision but looking out the window it’s nothing more than a wet blustery day and we’ve played in far worse. It’s not like we don’t need the game time or the points and imo we’ll never get a better chance of beating le cats on a wet blustery night, never mind those fans who won’t stand out in a bit of inclement weather, whatever we lose in gate money may pale into insignificance later on if we don’t use the weather to our advantage .

Thats not the issue, its the safety of people around the ground. All round grey horse flooded and it was gusting at like 60mph. Its not the clubs call to make

If you're in any doubt that calling off was the right decision - you need to give your head a wobble and stop playing the hard man; the consequences of any health and safety incident would be *catastrophic* for the club; and if you were in charge, would you want the consequences of an incident like that on your conscience?

Aside from all that, this will by no means have been MC deciding he couldn't be ar5ed - there will have been numerous parties involved in the decision to cancel - including the RFL.

And if you're lolling about the storm and talking about snowflakes, spare a thought for our comrades in Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd - losing their homes and businesses - again - because of the weather and incomplete flood defences.

I'm as anti-snowflake as they come but this analogy some are using is ridiculous.

Apart from the things you've rightly just highlighted, the pitch will be waterlogged. Correct me if I'm wrong, I am after all a mere summer RL person but weren't games called off in the old 'hard as nails' days due to waterlogged pitches?

As an aside, going on last weekends show, I'd have thought most on here would be delighted to see the game postponed. We don't look ready to beat Catalan so the chance to face them later in the season with hopefully some key players back and finding form is a godsend. Luck can work both ways even for us.
