Well according to the Twitter link, inspection took place, but no decision made. So was it passed or not ? if it was passed, why has the inspector of the pitch left it to the RFL.

By the way some are saying it passed for the Hudds game I heard it was very borderline and left for the clubs to decide. Both agreed as Watson was more concerned about a fixture back log and chose the lesser of two evils.

That would suggest that the RFL (or whoever passed it) recommended the fixture to go ahead. It would leave them wide open to criticism for that decision, regarding Health & Safety, if after 3 weeks of further grass growth and no use they now came out with a different verdict.
We are surely further away from the borderline.
Ian Watson's post match comments were pretty positive in light of his pre match worries too.

Fundamentally, if it passes an independent inspection and one club refuses to play on it, they should forfeit the game.

That's plenty of time for grass to grow with some nice weather coming up and temperatures getting warmer, on a pitch that has passed just now.

Huddersfield agreed to play on it even though they weren’t happy with its condition. They were anxious to play the game having already missed one round of SL because Sts were in Australia.

Ian Watson didn’t make an issue of it after the game but that doesn’t mean there were no issues!
Every Giants player had some damage and injury which Huddersfield had anticipated that they would need more medical staff and a variety of treatments for burns, grazes and other skin issues, that included antibiotics & antiseptics

Two needless pitch inspections, both passed with ease. The problem isn’t the pitch it’s the wonderful RL family.

Have they all turned into wusses? What would they have thought of the Widnes pitch?
They'd have never played a home game on it FFS.
