Played for us one season, went to Salford, then Hull with various clubs on loan in between. We only signed him initially because he was cheap and despite this we moved him on after only one season.
I should ask you what does he bring other than to take the place of Godinet because it looks like he is not going to drop Miller.

Let's forget that he was at Saints also, when they swapped him for Gaskell.
Why would he replace Godinet?
When the new coach comes in I'm sure he can see that Miller should definitely be a no go starter.

Based on the lower than anticipated gates id go for the former.

Perhaps if they reverted bacj to student tickets and 60 for consessions they might get a bigger attendance. Once you lose season ticket holders it is extremely hard to get them back.

I'd like to see the figures as well to be honest as it's not just a case of getting public through the gates it's also food, drink and merchandising sales lost on the day. Short sighted to say the least in my opinion and not looking wider or longer term building the fan base...

In terms of player departures as long as we lose the dead wood that haven't pulled their weight then fine but McShane does not fit within this. Losing Dan Smith would also be a blow.

I think Howarth coming in would vastly improve us. Godinet is one of our best players, he's creative and dangerous in attack. When we played Wigan at home, he linked up pretty effectively with Smith. He's wasted coming on for 20 minutes a game. Howarth can do that 20 minutes, Godinet to Stand Off and although I personally don't rate Miller, if Hall is to leave than he can go to FB.

You can't be serious of playing Miller at full back. He couldn't tackle a big boys dinner. You ought to be on the selection committee.

Nope, a squad full of awful fullbacks, young Jowitt aside as I've not seen him play. Sounds like Owen should be the number 1, particularly if as it seems Hall is on his way out of the club. Great chance for Johnstone to get some regular game time though.

Miller is am awful player, at fullback his ineffectiveness is less obvious. Sadly with Hall and Sammut the only two other options to play 6, notwithstanding Godinet who needs to interchange with McShane at hooker, we have a situation where no one else can play SO, unless Collis fancies being a running half, but that would be a complete unknown.

May be signing Howarth on loan initially is possibly in preparation for next season as a cheap utility squad member....covering 9 or 13. If so its not that contentious and probably with a view to Godinet moving to 6 hopefully than him leaving the club.

Godinet is class. McShane is a donkey Championship player. I am aghast how we bring Godinet on as a bit part player and start the match with that cart horse at 9. At least tonight we kepy Godinet on for the greater part of the game but for Pity's sake I don't claim to be the Ferguson of RL coaching but you would have to be blind to not see how Godinet improves us. EVEN THE SKY COMMENTARY TEAM SAW IT!

Agreed. It boggles the mind as to how some people rate McShane as one of the best hookers we've had when he is quite the opposite. Slow, lumbersome and overweight. Passes forward most of the time. Kicks out on the full most of the time. One can see why Leeds were eager to get rid.

ERRR TAKE NZ to bits in their World Cup game and look one of the most promising newcomers in the World Cup. ..then hardly get a chance to control a game cos he's used as an impact player when he's light years better than McShane???

Every time Godinet comes on the whole attack speeds up. His running from dummy half usually has defences unsure and he draws defenders. OK every now and again it doesn't work out but the same could be said of most creative players. Personally he's one player I would definitely keep.

There are very few players I would keep based on what we have seen to date.

Talk of Washbrook (Think he is OOC) coming back to Hull next season, not convinced he is what we need, how has he gone for you this year?
