| Quote ="musson"Finally a post that has some thought put in to it
There are a few simple reasons why we lost on Sunday, not least of which is Leeds can put 60 passed any SL team on there day and the team haven't had an off season but the main reason is....
The majority of the pack were out on there feet to me, carrying knocks, strapped up like mummies, playing on injections, our forwards are in a mess at the moment but they and the rest of the team will come good
If our forwards don't lay the foundations the back are on the back foot
Kirmond put a valiant captains effort in but is clearly not right, the guy is carrying an injury to his back I would say
Anderson looked like he was having serious knee problems and struggled to get up a few times, was unable to take the ball to the line with any momentum
Wasbrook, again looks to me to be carrying an injury
D Smith, hardly played and in the last twenty mins play had to stop several minutes while the physio [uchecked over him before leading him off the bitch[/u
Scruton left the field and didn't come back either, again looked injured to me
Moore looked excellent but its his first game back so only played 25 mins, tauti played well too and Ali was as always brilliant but half a pack will always struggle to create any momentum
People need to get off agars back, if its the same midway through the season then that's an other story'"
Dan Smith looked ill to me rather than injured

| If our players are so busted up over the last 2 games then why let players go out on loan ?.
Kirmond hasn't looked his self most of the season so far and the lad looks like he could do with a rest for the good of his long term future.

| Do you think that they chose to play injured rather than let the club down unfortunately it backfired and ended with us left short of replacements leading to further fatigue. That can't be correct of course because that suggests loyalty and a desire not to let the team down when in fact to some of you they are an embarrassment to the shirt.
We have a small first team squad, players are more likely to volunteer to play when not fully fit. We let three players go out on loan to keep them match fit because the league no longer operate a second team. I guess hindsight is a wonderful thing but not something any of us possess.

| I'm darn London for a few days with work so missed the game and haven't had chance to comment anyway.
To get walloped by so many is embarrassing of course and even I am starting to doubt the team and coach but I still think stability and support is important to this tram this season.
The point to me now is to try and find a way forward rather than finding someone to blame.
I really don't think Agar is the issue.
It's ironic that many of those more creative in their blaming of Agar were also saying we should target the league and let this game go. I remember saying be careful what you wish for.....
I predicted a straight off that the team would get better with time and would shock some teams.
I still believe it, but it's getting harder to be optimistic.
So I don't blame Agar, and even more so don't want to change for most of the names mentioned, but it is his responsibility to get them playing at their best and I hope he finds the way soon.

Actually quite a few on here questioned the wisdom of letting them all go on loan at once, especially during such a busy period of the season, but don't let that stop your sickly holier than thou attitude.

I really do think that this teams ability is being overplayed by many, it is nothing more than an average superleague side with a light sprinking of talented players at best but to achieve that everybody has to put in 100%, play to their full potential and be given the correct gameplan to follow. Right now we seem to be lacking in all 3 areas and the questions have to be asked why that is. For me if it continues over the next 3 games then a change has to be made before it is too late.

Was Raleigh and sjeika injured? Is Molloy still injured? If they were fit then surely they should have played instead of players carrying injuries?
Danny Kirmond hasn't been fit for most of the season yet Agar continues to play him despit knowing he won't be as effective as he can be and won't last the match. This lad needs to be given a rest to overcome whatever injury he is carrying as a fully fit Kirmond will be a major asset to us.

| The trouble is Scarlet Pimpernell at least one of those players let out on loan should have been used to give Kirmond a rest. Its clear for all to see the lad is putting his hand up to play but not fit enough and hasn't been for a few games no hindsight needed on that one.I actually fear for Kirmonds long term future in the game if this goes on he will end up busted and I would not want that of any player least of all one of lifes good guys.

| On the issue of lads going out on loan Agar is in an absolutely impossible position as far as some fans go...he cant do right for doing wrong (as with a lot of other things aswell)
I may be wrong with timing...not sure?...but isnt the busy easter period coming up soon...a time where you may be stretched afterwards....does that period tie in with when the lads can be called back? If so, it would have made perfect sense to send them out when they did....hopefully get some game time and be ready and match fit if needed after Easter...
At present I still think Trout and Walshaw are well down the pecking order as utility forwards....Moore is back in now....Annakin cant be far off...Molloy did very well last tim he played....thats not including all the other forwards who have been playing....
None of us know who is injured....who isnt...again Agar cant win on that score....like Dan Smith missing HKR away...was there a slight problem there because Agar took some right flack for that....then he struggles to play 5 minutes on Sunday....
I dont buy into the Kirmo injury stuff either....for me he is fit to play every game but is arguably trying too hard and going away from the basics....he hurt himself on Sunday with a silly shoulder charge on Sinfield and wasnt the same after....stick to basics....dont attempt siily tackles like that where you risk hurting yourself...just settle down a bit...play your own game and be the inspirational leader of the team you were last year....its what the team is crying out for....a big leader on the field...
Just my opinion...

| From what I hear DK has a slipped disc in his back which requires extensive massaging during the week and then painkilling injection(s) on game day. Don't know how true it is, but from what fans who've seen him play are telling me it would tie in with how he's been performing.

| Soooooooooo........after 3 good performances....2 wins and running a quality Saints side very close.....a healthy looking squad injury wise...competition for places....we make a decision to send 3 fringe players out on loan....to get them gametime and match fitness with them due to return just days after the busiest and most gruelling period of the season.....and people are questioning that?? makes perfect sense to me....
They could of course all stayed at the club....played no games...then if needed after easter be not match fit.....like I was saying...Agar cant do right for doing wrong in some eyes....

| Worst management of a squad ever. From day 1 anyone with an ounce of Rugby knowledge knew we were in a relegation battle. Anybody who was or still is thinking otherwise is a noggin and that includes coaching staff and players. We should have selected players to play in specific matches, target games we have a chance in and play the squad players in those that we obviously have no chance in. There is no room for silly talk of how if we play well we can beat Leeds, Wigan, Warrington, Saints Huddersfield. Our first 17 would not beat their under 19`s. This then gives you a chance that your best players are fit for the games that we have some chance in. Ali, Kirmond, Mcshane, Collis, Scruton should be given every chance to be fit for the games that we have a chance in. Does anyone not think that Steve Ferres is not plotting and planning the season so that his team are at its best for the games he thinks he has a remote chance in.

So you don't think actually having them here for that gruelling period of the season would have been a better idea then, rather them have them due to return just as we have a a blank weekend as was always likely to be the case after the cup draw? You know after those 3 crucial games in 10 days? Or do you prefer to flog clearly unfit players half to death so when the inevitable injuries arrive we've nowhere to go? Genius thinking that.

You also seem to have forgotten how poor the performances were prior to the Catalans game as well. Or doesn't that fit your agenda of defending everything the club does?

Correct. Wholesale changes no but when we are playing guys like Kirmond, Scruton & Collis half fit and flogging players who shouldn't be doing anything near 80 minutes like Lauitiiti & McShane then something has gone wrong somewhere.
It keeps being said we don't have a big squad but their is enough depth for targetting games and easing the burden on our key men for the main events, the games against the teams likely to be in the bottom half. The squad in terms of numbers isn't too bad but in terms of quality it is short. There are probably 6 or 7 members of the squad who are absolutely crucial to us and they need to be fit and firing at certain times, the rest are average joes who can fit in around them and 'do a job'. Now in a no chance game against Leeds next friday we will have to play some of the key guys obviously half fit as we have no other choice, meaning come the big home derby on good friday they are highly unlikely to be able to perform at their best, which to have a chance we need them to. It could and should have been handled better.

Are you being serious? Jesus wept....
Practically a whole new squad...interupted pre season...3 overseas arriving days before the season starts....3 pivot players hardly spent a minute together....a short turnaround so early in the season against Bradford making that game a total lottery.....
Jeez....the expectations of our fans is bordering on ridiculous...
