I wonder how much we actually take in bottle bar sales compared to the cost of an RFL fine and/or a black mark on our next licence application.
Yes there has always been alcohol sales, but what I can't remember the old bar under the west stand selling beer for consumption on the terraces, I may be wrong on that of course as time does play tricks on the memory. I certainly don't remember plastic glasses/bottles etc...
The ease at which you can get beer at Belle Vue is something that has only relatively recently been re-introduced (or never been so easy).

| The Northstand should stay home fans only it is awsome in there fan wise but I must admit a lot of Northstanders was quiet..
As for drink they could do with a food stand and extra bar at the back of the Northstand, with the bar man having the right to refuse drink if he thinks some one is too drunk like they do in pubs.. Also they could do this at turn styles, if some one looks drunk refuse entry, but make sure this message is out there to home and away fans evey week, come to game drunk and your not welcome..

| Don't wanna stir this up any more than it is.....But, as there are no barriers from front to back at either end of the stand, and no way of counting heads, what happens health and safety wise if stupidly all 7,000 standing customers decided to go North (doesn't the North stand hold 3,500?), where would we stand heaven forbid, if there was an accident?

Sad thing is I have seen home and away fans and I must stress only a few, near fall down the steps because they was staggering down them, the games for me was Salford/Saints and Cas games where home and away fans was worse for the falling down water ... most fans drink in moderation and should not be penalize...

| We wer told we could not go on the western terrace and as the saying goes if you have a complaint take it to the top.As we came round by the cats bar who did we come across but James Elston and we asked why.In all fairness to him he did not know this was happening and told us to wait a moment and he would get back to us.He had a word with the safety officer in charge and he told us if we wanted to stand on the western terrace and any security said otherwise we were to tell them to get on the radio to the safety officer to confirm we could. We actually said we would give the east terrace a go this time. Not one of us enjoyed watching the game from the east side and dont like being behind the sticks.

| I'm presuming that the segregation was to do with the identity of the away club. Although not all Hull fans cause trouble, they are the club with historically the worst incidents (fighting on the pitch at Craven Park, taking down the posts at the Galpharm, and I seem to recall that the rules regarding access to Cats bar was different for Hull FC than it was for other clubs a few years ago). That's a shame, but I can understand why the club made the decision to force segregation as a one-off. The problem is that will be easy to repeat it for other key games, like Leeds and Cas.
Put simply, I don't like the new idea. It all worked fine before, on the whole, and the situation was created by a well-intentioned Go North campaign, which was perhaps the victim of bad timing, because the first full Go North campaign game was Cas at home, with flames nicely fanned by Richard Wright. I don't like being stuck with a view behind the sticks and has lessened my game experience. I used to enjoy it on the West Terrace before. I don't as much now. However, if Newmarket chugs along, there is maybe only next season to put up with it.

| Firstly, can I start with an apology to all fans for the lack of communication regarding this matter. With the recent events such as Eric France and the postponement of the Leeds fixture, the statement that should've gone out was overlooked. The change in our crowd policy was due to be enforced at the Leeds game, therefore with the postponement it wasn't issued.
Let me try and explain the reasons for the changes. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats received a suspended fine which was imposed by the RFL for crowd disturbance at the 2012 Good Friday fixture v Castleford Tigers. In addition, we received numerous complaints at fixtures against Saints, Salford and Widnes. The complaints varied but the main issues were foul and abusive language and missiles being thrown.
In December 2012, the club had several meetings with West Yorkshire Police, Wakefield Council and our security team and sponsors: Key Security, to discuss improved safety measures. It was agreed that a designated area for away fans would be the best solution, therefore, we felt the western terrace was a perfect location for this. I was aware that lots of Wakefield supporters view the game from there, although it was brought up, we decided that Wakefield fans could access this area but were not encouraged to do so.
The 2013 season began, we didn't receive many complaints against HKR, but our next fixture was against Huddersfield and this was subject to a repeat of the problems from the previous season. Statements by Huddersfield fans were sent to the RFL surrounding the following complaints:
* Foul and abusive language by Wildcats fans on the western terrace.
* Racist chanting at Huddersfield players.
* Several Huddersfield fans assaulted on exit of the stadium.
* Intimidating atmosphere on the western terrace.
We were informed by the RFL and subsequently put on a warning again. At this point, we decided to change our policy for selected games, where we felt there could be issues, or away teams that bring a large amount of supporters. The change in policy will be enforced for the following fixtures: Leeds, Castleford, HKR, Hull FC, Bradford, Warrington, Wigan, Huddersfield and Saints where there will only be the away fans occupying the western terrace. We will manage Catalans, London, Salford and Widnes with a view of allowing Wildcats fans on to the western terrace.
I hope this explains the policy and want fans to support these crowd safety measures. In addition, we will work with our catering/beverage suppliers to improve our offer to fans so the North and Eastern side of the stadium provide suitable drink/snacks and toilet facilities.
I am happy to remain on line for a further hour if anyone would like to ask any additional questions or have any comments they wish to raise with me regarding this issue.
I would appreciate your support in these changes and welcome positive feedback and comments.
Thanks
Davide

| These issues were creeping into our stadium before the Castleford game. I must stress, it's not only our stadium that experiences these issues, it's a game wide issue and needs eliminating so we protect our proud family image

| By segregating everyone, you're ruining the "family game" environment. I've been coming here since the early 60's and find it humiliating to be told where I can and can't watch my team.
Many people I know won't be renewing their season tickets and wouldn't have bought one in the first place, if they knew segregation was the way forward

| Somehow you need to ensure the toilets can be got to easily for everyone. I'm sure you know you have to provide a minimum amount of facilities for both men and women at regular points of the arena. Walking halfway round the stadium doesn't cut it i'm afriad.

| I know its easier said than done, but shouldn't the focus be on identifying offenders and dealing with them as appropriate (dependent on what they have done?)
It appears we run the risk of driving away some long time supporters whilst the offenders may continue to attend, and as such, complaints won't necessarily reduce just be moved to a different part of the ground

They are sufficient toilets on the North and East sides of the stadium.

So we stand in the corner just below where the screen goes. Where now are the nearest ladies toilets or facilities with sinks and cubicles for men?

The issues are between home and away fans. If the problems escalate then we will lose more fans through not feeling safe in our stadium. I can't understand why fans are feeling so aggrieved, we are just saying that fans need to watch the game from a different position thats all

North East Corner, around 60m away. we will steward the toilet block on the western terrace so both sets of fans can access them.

| I have been watching Trinity for the last 60 years. Most of this time has been on the western terrace and in the old wooden stand. I accept the reasons for segregation but feel a compromise is needed. If we have to give away supporters the western terrace, could I suggest you open Catherine Street turnstiles for them and fence most of the terrace off up to the exit gate. It has become a long walk for me from Catherine Street to Doncaster Road turnstiles and with my dwindling eyesight I cannot see the other end of the pitch from the north stand. This would also give an overflow area if the north stand was overcrowded. If I am not allowed to stand anywhere on the western terrace then my Trinity days are over. I realise I may be in the minority with my eyesight problem but you will appreciate only being able to see half a pitch is not good.

This didn't work out as the takings were very low. I will certainly pass on this comment to Lindley's Group for their consideration
