| Stanley may a great effort to turning a 24 points to 0 at half time and managed to turned the game around to get within 4 points close to the end, it ended up 32 -24 but Blackbrook deserved the win for their first half performance
well done to Crigg u13s on their win, two very good entertaining games

From a natural stance it was a belter and worth staying on for. Could of gone either way when Stanley trailed by 4 but 1 small error and then a penalty and it was game over.
Nice for 2 games to pass with no troubles and for any team in the mix next year or indeed in our groups the year after get down and support this great day out.

| Shaw cross 11s travel to the bears to try to keep up the unbeaten run ..fingers crossed for you boys.
Crigg 13s home to the always dangerous Cas Lock Lane who will no doubt be trying to finish what their closest rivals came so close to doing, and if IRC the last team to win at Crigg was Lock Lane back in the 11s .
Dont know who else is playing but just looked at table and im sure Panthers will be mighty keen to get a win on the board before they fall to far behind to soon .
East leeds look a threat
And I hold a tourch for shaw cross who in my opinion are very under rated.
Good luck to all again and safety to
P S
Also
To Stanley's 15s and Crigg 10s and 8s. The list is getting to long
Sod wakey lol

| Players on holiday in division 1
You should get it 18-0 as they should have a big enough squad. I wonder if its more a case og a couple of the top players away. .

| Shawcross Sharks 11s carried on doing what they do best with a 58-0 win away win at shurburn (spell check) bears.
A while ago the sharks were very much win 1 lose 1 etc. These lads have a lovely attitude towards rugby and their coach and are coming on leaps n bounds and more.
2 years ago another club in the 1st part of the 11s Crigg were topsy turvy and I can see a likness .
Although the sharks neeed group 1 not 2 rugby ASAP.

| Crigg 13s v Lock Lane 13s
52 12 to Crigg the streak never in doubt with Crigg scoring 3 trys in around 7 opening minutes. 7 different try scorers across the park, some sublime team tries that quite frankly come from ball movement you would enjoy on any SL fiekf.
And 1 outrageous double dummy from a stand in 7 that produced a fine memory

| Oulton Raiders Under 7's won again, beating Kippax away. The Kippax team played well considering they are a team of all year 1's, our side is mainly year 2 with a handful of the younger year 1's - but it's our first season. So far in the league we have had 2 wins and 1 draw.
One of the main problems we are having at the moment is getting enough game time into the players, we have a full squad and so far have had around 15-16 available to play each week, and we have played against teams with 8 players, 4 players and 8 players. I notice players improving through the game the more minutes they play so having to rotate the squad and basically having a different team playing the 2nd half compared to the first half is making it much harder for us - whereas teams with lesser numbers have the advantage of getting a full game into all of their players every week, and they do seem to learn much, much more from the games compared to training.
Setting 2 teams up is a bit of a no-no given the extra coaches, TLM's managers etc required.
Does anybody else involved with kids of this age notice a drop off during the summer months for various reasons?

I don't quite think you are getting the point!
Yes winning matters everybody tries to win but development is far more important.at the end of the day trophy s are lovely and they give you great memory's but that's all.
Onething you would do well to learn is not all the best players play for the best team.
Good luck to all taking part this weekend in the Yorkshire challenge cup!!

That's a perennial problem I think and you're certainly not the only club to experience it; we've got 23 players registered in our U14's team which gives the coach a selection nightmare, especially when those players are at various different points of the spectrum in terms of ability.
I'm not sure what the answer is - two teams seems obvious, but that has many of its own potential problems, aside from the obvious ones you've pointed out.
Who would run a junior rugby club??

| To be fair rob you know that I dont for 1 moment think that way.
I know the players you have , east leeds have etc .
I know that east hull are far far from a 1 man team . Stanley division 2 but quality players.
Its just that once again 1 particular poster takes a comment and twists it.
I think you should do well in the cup but reading into those I wouldn't be sure. icon_wink.gif

Can not find a fault with that at all.
Its pleasing to see aswell coaching staff taking this view.
Some sports like scoccer have this terrible way of trying to try out kids and refusing to coach to improve just concentrating on those who shine.
I really do hope that my views have not been misinterpreted because I've always been fully behind enjoyment before tin pots.

| Thanks to Crig for the warm welcome this morning.
We were winning at half time and scored over 20 points (something I understand no team has achieved in a long long time). The game got away at the back end of the second half but we never took a backward step and had we been a bit smarter after half time, who knows... Only 8 points in it with 10 to go and finished 44-24.
So proud of our boys, not only did we compete we played some outstanding expansive rugby. Though that being said there's more to come from us. Nice also to hear some positive praise especially from the Crig parents.

| To be fair seth the score line flattens us and all down the way how you came and just played rugby with no intention of trying to disrupt our game you were terrific in you own right.
It was a most enjoyable cup game where it was up for grabs until late late on maybe the score won't reflect that.
Good look for rest of season and with any luck promotion might be on the cards.
Also nice to play a close game and fans not blame the ref , your fans and parents whom I spoke to where knowledgeble and a credit.
