You're right about one thing, I didn't rate Korki because IMO he was apart from the odd moment a poor player in his first stint with us. However when I heard Kear wanted him I was willing to give him every chance and forget all previous notions of the player - this is where you and me really differ in a big way. Luckily Korki made his mark straight away so no chances were needed in the end.

I'm sure the same will happen with King and Johnson and if it happens Cook. I only wish I had your crystal ball, I am not worthy

strikes me as a very similar signing to that of Bill Ashurt back in the 1970's

TBH If you had given me a choice between Cooke and Newton before the season started... I would have gone for Cooke!

between the two yes Cooke would of been the better choice, but I wouldn't of put Cooke in the same bracket as Bill Ashurst

end of the day if Cooke comes he comes and the only reason he does is because Kear believes he will offer the team something that will improve us as a side, as stated earlier he is out od contract come the end of the season so he will be wanting to prove himself it could work out better for us. if he comes and he's crap then he dont play end of. Kear as made signings which have really confused me but yet they have worked so why question him now?

Must admit his days do look a little numbered at Rovers but they have done before this and he's always stayed on. Is this rumour just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 or do people think there is any substance to it?? Sounds like Trinity are struggling for bodies so if he has signed then chances are high.

my source in east hull tells me that we get cooke on loan until end of season (morgan had enough of him). next year he signs for us and Brough goes in opposite direction.

i am a fc fan and cannot believe some of your reactions, fc have never been the same team since he left. yeah he has his problems but at the end of the day he is in his rugby league prime and a class act i for one would have him back at fc, i also love the dobbins fans posting on here three years ago he was the best thing since sliced bread and listen to them now, jk who should never have been sacked at hull will bring out the best in him.

yep i agree, he's a class act and someone we at Wakey could only dream of signing pre JK days, reallity check folks we are not a big club and should not turn our noses up at quality players like him, i trust JK will get the best of him again and that'l do for me

Regardless of individuals opinions on Paul Cooke, i'd say all fans will get behind him and support him. We all believe in the judgement of JK, as has been shown with past signings. If Paul Cooke puts in the effort then we as fans can't ask anymore.

I really do think Jon Kear will get the best out of Cooke.
It was a clear case of Morgan and Cooke never seeing eye to eye and If your not an Australian at Rovers then you will always be on the back foot with Morgan.
I bet this turns out to be a great move for you as Cooke has all the talent in the world. He just needs a little help from a good coach to push him in the right direction.

Also to let Brough go in the other direction would be plain stupid. Surely Kear is bringing Cookie in to play with Brough and try to complement each other.
