I'm just sick of having to put up with the rubbish that seems to come with been a wakey fan. The same group of hardcore fans put there hands in the pockets to buy season tickets and merchandise when the club was desperate for money end of last year, start of this year. The club seemed interested in treating the fans with decency and honesty for a short time when asking for money. I remember been told that it's up to us fans if we still want a club, that we were the people who could save it, on numerous occasions at meetings. And now the club has my money the people that run it couldn't care less. If it was one isolated issue with the stewarding then yes that fine but when 5% of your season ticket holders have been effected by this the club should be talking note and sorting it. It's always the same group of fans that stick together in bad times. Yet they are the ones that are pooped on from the greatest height. As it stands now I won't be going out of my way (and spending the little spare cash) for this club again. I thought things had changed but obviously not.

I think we can all agree what happened to mole rat was totally unacceptable.....a complaint to the club though and no problems this week.....

Maybe easier for me to be relaxed about the whole thing because it hasn't affected me....I've taken a bottle of pop in every game I can remember for years....or at least one or two of us have.....4 of us together all walked through the turnstiles right round the ground to wear we stand and openly drank our pop throughout the game....leaning on the barriers in the Northstand (felt a bit wobbly...needs sorting Snowie

) plenty of stewards walking backwards and forwards past us and no-one said a think......likewise.....with the smoking I've seen a few complain about....where we stand the stewards have been red hot on it every week.....very quick to see people lighting up and dealing ith it quickly and efficiently.......bit more communication looks to be needed......am sure the club will be onto it and am sure like with mole rat things will improve all round.....not worth stopping supporting the team for in my eyes.....if I turn up Friday and they wanna take my bottle of pop off me then I've more important things to get stressed over in life.....and I will continue to support the team on the field...

All that it would take to resolve these issues is 1. A new statement from the club acknowledging that there have been some issues with the new rules, and to re-emphasise what the rules are. 2. Anybody who has complained after the club released the statement, that still had issues with stewards even though as per the statement had done nothing wrong and were following the clubs guidance should be issued with a full apology, not made to feel as if the club couldnt care less about them. The person i know who was removed from the ground for entering with a plastic bottle has had no apology!!! But was advised they would have been invited back into the ground on that day had they hung around outside and not gone home (which is all but acknowledging the stewards were wrong) but the club refuse to give an apology. This person could well be staying away for the forseeable future after the best part of 50 years of watching the club. It just amazes me how little dialogue is going on between club and fans. Yet have time to be answering questions on facebook twitter and on here.

It all seems to fly in the face of the clubs charter also.
Communication seems to have all but dried up (difficult if you're short staffed but invaluable), well trained staff? The stewards don't appear to be carrying out either set of rules with any consistency.
This club is all about the supporters, with them we have a fighting chance, without them the club has no chance.
As much as i am fully behind the open and honest approach of MC and all the hard work to get us through this season, i can't help but think he is one fall out short of walking out, which would be bad for the club, bad for the supporters and bad for himself, because by and large he has done a great job.
If he thinks the criticism of this that and the other on here is harsh, he needs to look at the other forum of other clubs, they are all the same.
We all want it all, and we all want it now, but if we didn't we wouldn't be human.
This season was always going to be about doing it tough on and off the field in order to get us from being neck deep in the mire, and it has proven to be exactly that.
Next season i would like the club to employ someone to help clarify the mess and communicate with the fans in a proper and proffesional manner, and really bang the drum for the club and raise awareness of all the good things that this club is about, and deal with dilute orange related issues also.

I'm afraid the club requires some training on how to deal with its customers because right now it is nothing short of terrible. Bothers me not anymore, i'm one of those who has well and truly taken his bat home due to the way one of my flock has been treated. Given the money that the club has had from me both personally and through my company over recent years this may prove costly and frankly i couldn't care less anymore. But believe me when i say i'm not the only one feeling this way.

Still no update from the club on which set of rules we are playing by! Obviously it's not important to the guys in charge how the fans feel. Didn't realise the club was in a position to lose some hardcore fans and lots of money over this. They must be flush with cash at the moment.

Well I for one don't give a flying one and anyone who get's upset over not being allowed to take a damn picnic into the ground needs a check up from the neck up.

It's not like you can't buy refreshments in the ground (and benefit the club in the process)

It's not really that important to a lot of fans either. I would really like to get the thread on the club shorts highlighted a bit more. I also have one ready to start on the socks.

It's important to enough fans that some are walking away, which they are entitled to to do so if they feel the need. That tells me that it's something the club needs to address pretty damn quick but sadly customer service doesn't seem high on its list of priorities. When season ticket renewals are down the penny might drop.

They've already made one statement on the (non) issue and at the end of the day anyone who considers this a real problem needs to contact the club (rather than an online supporters group) and obtain clarification on what the policy is privately.

You might want to pretend it isn't a problem as it doesn't affect you personally but to those it has affected it is an issue and one that has yet to be sorted satisfactorily. The club has already had a number of long standing fans walk away because of the problem and that is something the club can ill-afford. We need more season ticket holders, not less and once they break the habit of going every week then the chances of them coming back gets less and less. This could and should have been handled much better.

I can recognise a problem even if it doesn't affect me. I just think people walking away over a a few teething problems with a new security firm is absurd.

You would have hoped so but it is threatening to blow up into something much more than that when it really shouldn't have, mainly because the people affected feel they have just been brushed off by the club. It's a battle for everyones few spare pounds these days and customer service and satisfaction is absolutley vital for all businesses if they want to survive, especially when its a small sports club like ours with many more downs than ups over the years and good will towards it is in short supply. It's an area our management team need to look into and improve asap.

I E-mailed the club via the website as directed by the clubs charter for some clarification on the matter on Monday, i have had no contact back from them so far.
OK its only thursday and there is a big game coming up tomorrow which i would hope is taking up most peoples time, but a quick 5 minute reply would not hurt anyone would it.
It's not my fight, it doesn't affect me, and it appears (to me) to affect a very very small minority, but i think it could have and should have been handled better and quicker.
One of the people has i have spoken to who is affected has handled himself far better than the club has and done things in the correct manner - whether i agree with him as to who is right or who is wrong matters not.
This is a tiny issue that still lacks clarity and that is bad business from the club.
We cannot afford to alienate supporters over easily reconciled trivialities.

I've spent a lot and I mean a lot of money following this club over the years even more than usual this year because the club needed it and were desperate. All I expect for my money is to be treat with respect when at the ground, and to watch a team that puts effort in. I don't expect to see my family members been escorted from the ground for refusing to hand over a bottle of dilute Orange. I also expect the club to admit fault and take 5 minutes of there time to speak to my family member and apologise. I also expect the club to control there stewards and make them enforce the rules rather than let then let them do what they want. As it stands now there's 5 adults and a junior not renewing next year. Also we will be cancelling 8 lines on the 1873 lottery. Il be spending my money were its appreciated next year.

Blimey, that diluted orange must be good if you feel that strong about it.
