Not worried at all, just find it amusing that Ted Richardson has done what was fully expected of him to do, Glasshoughton will go ahead with or without the council, just the council money would assure all of the 15,000 capacity is built at once'"

Fully as we are told repeatedly when Wakey fans go on the Cas board to go back on their own board and stop trolling, as far as I am aware nobody minds Cas people on here talking stadiums, its unfortunate that you are getting lumped in with some idiots from the Cas board gaslight,riggins,ambernotyeller and that cretin bigalf whose only claim to fame is that he hasnt made a post yet without insulting someone. We are just as nervous as what you are but those four I have mentioned do the rest of your fans no favours on here. |

You can tell i don't post on here often, and i'm sure that there are plenty of people who will rip this post to shreds, but i am genuinely looking for answers and informed opinions on the proposed developments in the district. I will happily admit i most likely am wearing rose tinted specs as i am a long standing Wakefield supporter, but i would like some clarification on such issues;
As we all know, The NM development is designed to be a Community stadium, with facilities that will not just benefit WTW, but the wider community also. These facilities will not be owned by WTW but the community trust, meaning that multiple sporting groups from the district will benefit from these facilities. Is this similar with the GH development or is this going to be a privately venture by Castleford Tigers to own their new Stadium? The reason i ask is after reading the Cas website, which does state the stadium would benefit the further community, it does not mention if this is a private or community venture. I am not trying to pick a fight with Cas fans who are using this forum, as personally i want to see both teams retain their superleague status, and preferentially have their own stadiums. This may not be realistic in the current climate but we can all dream! Call me a flat capper but with our game at the moment we seem to try and drop a club in areas where we previously saw Rugby League potential, and hope something flourishes. I am more in favour of building up support for OUR sport in its homelands again rather than hoping on a whim that something outside the M62 corridoor may come to fruition, especially at the expense of long established clubs. But back to my original point if the fans that are more "in the know" could clarify the positions on the stadiums, especially in regards of private and public ventures, this would help me out immensley, and probably others who again like myself are quite likely to be wearing their rose tinted specs also. I just wish my specs had been blacked out rather than rose tinted today, but thats for another topic...

I don't care if I'm being lumped in with the rest, to be honest. Wakey fans make fair comments about Cas fans being on this forum. The only reason I post on here is because most of the discussion is here. No Cas fans on our forum. Aside from that, there's a difference between trolling and making comments which nail the truth.
The facts are blurred, no one has a clue and until either happens no one can gloat. Making speculation or guessing what may or may not happen is pointless.
Some comments on here set people up for their own fall, which is why I'm not getting involved. |

actually they didnt, they said only one would be funded.
this is a very carefully worded statement which keeps all parties on board whilst making our position re GH clear, nothing more, nothing less, Id expect a similar one from cas tomorrow. |

The cas stadium has always been a private venture, it only became a community facility when their CEO richard Wright got backed into a corner and realised he could not fund it. He played everycard in his hand to try and con the council to back him and he thought Peter Box would tip the balance in his favour. He nearly got away with it but he has now lost out.
NM has always been a community stadium so don't be suprised if Cas end up playing there, it may still happen.
Also one day GH may also be built if Cas can get some funding from somewhere. |
