Tyke will go well at your gaff, strong runner of the ball, makes very little errors and is a pretty tough defender. I've always liked John Kear as a coach as he is very honest and has always been very complementary about Wire. Hope you guys managed to stay is SL next year.

I feel the same way - I'm getting disproportionate enjoyment from watching a team full of young, British players trying their hearts out each week, despite the thumpings. Higgins appears to fit what we've created, so he'll do for me until he proves otherwise.

You can shout all you like but all we can really do is get behind the players we have actually got. Bearing in mind the number of players we have taken on in the past that nobody rated/wanted who have turned out to be good for us, and the ones others wanted that turned out to be rubbish for us, I would still just wait and see how they get on.

I suppose a parallel can be made between two ex players. Would you rather have had Wilkes in the side or Tronc? One is undoubtedly more talented than the other yet one gave much, much more to the club despite their inferior ability.

As Sunday showed that forward power would be useless without anyone to take advantage. Imagine Brough behind that pack. Daft as it sounds just those three players would transform this team of tryers into, at the very least, a top 8 side.

You seem to have a real problem with Laim Higgins- i can assure you as a cas fan i watched liam a lot more that you did - and i can assure you he played more than 10 mins each half. Liam is a good lad and a work horse no he may not be some big name aussie but lets face it some of the aussies (not all I hasten to add) come over here on the gravy boat then get home sick and go back after pinching a wage cos they aren't interested in putting their body on the line. How many times have you come away thinking X player didn't have a good one today or X didn't seem interested today, well i can tell you i never felt that after watching Higgins.

The one thing you will get from Higgins is someone who will give you everything he can whilst on the field, and when he is off the field he will have a lot of time for the supporters and he will do lots of community work for the club.

NGB4C - you embarass yourself with your daft ranting; there is no suggestion that we've signed Higgins in place of Hickey, so you're arguing against a situation that only exists in your own head. Get behind the lad, instead of comparing him to a lost signing that we haven't even made yet.

We all thought we needed two props so whats to say we aren't signing Hickey as well. It would also free up Johnson to play in the second row if necessary. Would just need a decent scrum half then.

What is your problem, Higgins is available now, so it looks like we've got him to strengthen our pack, that is a good thing. Does it mean, we won't be signing Hickey, or continue, to look for new players at home and abroad, no it doesn't, so what's with the hyperbole and constant overreaction?
