Been on the site and looked at the plans - I'm impressed. The stadium looks fantastic and as has been said standing at back of the goals and seating down the sides so should suit everyone. I used to prefer standing but as I'm getting on a bit I've picked out my seat - can't wait - just hope for a positive outcome of the planning application.
I've also posted a positive comment supporting the application on Economic Regeneration ground as well as sporting/health grounds. |

If you go on the SWAG web site there is a link to the Planning Application on the Wakefield MDC Planning Portal. Just go on to Documents and you can download the plans. |

Don’t forget to submit you comments to the planning application. The page that enables you to view the comments submitted so far appears to have been taken off but the last time I checked there were about 13, 3 of which objected and about 3 or 4 that were neutral.

Habitat enhancement within the new development will create approximately 11.16 hectares of tree, woodland and scrub habitat, 17 hectares of grassland habitat, 1.54 hectares of wildflower meadow, 1.64 hectares of ornamental planting, 16 new water bodies, 0.74 hectares of swamp and 632 metres of ditch. Although landscaping works will result in a loss of grassland and arable habitat on site it will result in an increase in woodland habitat and aquatic habitat and therefore have a positive impact at local value. There will be a creation of water vole habitat. '"
So the development will actually have a positive impact on the local wildlife. |
