Poor signing in my opinion. How can we exspect a player that cant even get a regular spot at salford to run wakefield around the field? Feel like were becoming the laughing stock of superleague. I for one honestly thought that we would have a quality halfback coming into the squad. Its left me very dissapointed... and for the first time i actually think that weve alreadu decided were going to NL1.

What is worrying me is that Kear has paraded Smith as his new signing which is all well and good, but you would think that he would show all the new signings together assuming that there are some others to show, but as yet the club are a little tight lipped on the matter which could mean we have not got any or that they are not signed up yet, as I said worrying.

Don't know if that figure is right, but the principal is. If he was on £80k and they wanted some other players in, they may no longer value him at £80k - a bit like us and a player making the reverse trip. Hence players end up on the market and the buyer ends up in a stronger position.

He's ours now - we should at least wait to see him in our new kit before we make too many opinions!

A like for like swap then Smith for Latu

The one and ONLY thing that matters next season is a new licence to play SL after next season.
If we have to play the kids next season with a number of older players on 1 year deals finishing with the wooden spoon so be it, we will just have to stick by them knowing that we have 3 seasons after that to put it right.
I would not swap that for a top 8 finish and NL rugby the season after

pretty bad player tbh, seen him have maybe 1 good game, its like when we played teams like wire. He was just non existent, and when he was he was noticed for all the wrong reasons. He's pretty mouthy aswell

No player can have come to us with a worse reputation at his previous club than Hendo. Leigh fans and officials were glad to get shut. Didn't turn out too bad though did he?

He didn’t turn out bad, but conversely he’s not turned out great either. I know every club needs a Hendo style player but too many and you will have an honest, but pretty poor team (and I know some will say that’s one trait better than the team we have watched this season).

Henderson is a trier, but not a good enough player. Would another Super League club have him? Same discussion with Jamie Field a few years back.

I'm not crazy, just realistic. The guy looks like the human equivlent of Belle Vue and what do we make of the state of Belle Vue? Look, folk can dress how they like for me but it's time Wakefield Trinity began to put on a far more proffesional front than they do at present. Last season I took some friends of mine to a game. sat in the east Stand were squad members who were not playing. Most were unshaven, dressed in scruff and to be honest, resembled outlaws from a refugee camp. My friends were not impressed with them or the ground / facilities yet they were the kind of people the club should be trying to impress if they want sponsors, investors etc. Surely this doesn't need to be spelled out on here? One step down from a chav is not the way foreward. It ain't about fashion, it's image, standards even, like it or not. A dress code for players and staff wouldn't cost a fortune and may even be cheaper than all that designer dress down gear.

Trouble is, when you get pretigious visitors to the ground, potential investors etc. That's just what happens.

Get a grip man we are still in the midst of one of the worst recessions in history, the club is fighting for it's financial life and super league future.

Ok, so all we have to do to move the club foreward is sign players. Fine, small minds, small club.
Reminds me of a meeting at the club years ago when they were electing a chairman, president, or whatever it was. All these guys stood up and gave speeches on re structuring the finances, getting sponsorship to bring the best players in, modernising the outlook of the club. Finaly one old geezer stood up and his speech? "All we need is a scrum half and a prop forrad" Needless to say he wasn't elected. This your old man by any chance?
