As my mum, who admittedly isn't a massive RL fan, pointed out at the time, it was only weeks before that Pearman was in the Express telling anyone who wanted to listen how skint he was... then suddenly he had land worth millions. Not unlike someone else who had land and thought it was worth millions.

If the investor mentioned in this thread turns out to be a real investor come Wednesday night, then one thing is for sure: This guy really does have the millions that others have dreamed about.

I may be being quite negative here, but if the announcement is about a new stadium or even Steve Parkin investing millions, I won't be that bothered. If it helps the club in the future then great, but as fan I'm getting bored of all the news being about planning permission, Cats Bar selling cheap beer, Supporters Trusts, attendances, ticket prices etc. As much as all this is important, I don't get excited about these things. I'm only interested in the rugby side of it. I may be being old fashioned here, but I'm not interested in the politics, or what was on our franchise application, I just want to watch rugby.

If Steve Parkin invests millions then the only thing you're bothered about, and the only thing most of the rest of us are bothered about, may take a turn for the better.

good post imwakefieldtillidie, im with you when i say for at least theres still a team playing in any league, me and my family will always support wakefield. dont really care about the political bull. but i for one will be there tommorow, very easy for people to talk, its a different thing for people to listen!

Why is it crazy, hopefully it will be fantastic news, of which he may want to share with the fans, and if AG is doing to make our club strong again, of which I'm very passionate about, then yes I will cheer him (man in a suit) and thank him and his team for all the hard work and effort they put in to make our club one of the best again...

It's more than likely going to about investment or the Stadium front, why would they go to all this trouble, if it's about the signing players or the playing front and imo there's no way it can be any confirmation on the franchise front.

Completely agree. I don't understand where some fans are coming from and it seems, whatever the news is, people are going to be moaning.

It all comes down to each individual's interpretation of the best news for the club in the history of the world ever.

In that case, criticise the club for promoting this announcement as something it's not, if its not, but let's celebrate the news whatever it is, if it warrants it!

just hope its good news and the meeting will give everyone a lift. Cos boy we need it. Hope RFL have had some input on whats the best solution to keep us in the league. Therefore Mr Glover will act on it. Crusaders have not got a stronger bid than us !!! = FACT. SUE TO HELL IF THEY KICK US OUT FOR THEM !

I am actually somewhat apprehensive about tomorrow's meeting. It is to be hoped it is the magical news we have all been waiting for/promised otherwise I do fear many could get even more upset, frustrated and disheartened by current goings on.

I sincerely hope I am wrong and I for one can't wait for tomorrow's meeting - just hope it delivers.....
