Yes and the comparison of the Koucash situation and the Hetheringtons is patently different, some that only the hardest of thinking would not be able to grasp.
Hetheringtons - Two employees of different clubs, both with influential positions but not the final say on decisons and at all times have someone independant above them (messrs Carter & Caddick) able to make the decisions or overule ones that have been made.
Koucashs - Two owners of different clubs answerable to nobody. What they say goes with no comeback or questions asked by anyone with any seniority.
See the difference yet?

Of course I do, which is why I entered the conversation in the first place by pointing out that KH once had a large stake in Hull and then went on to explain why I'd done that in the posts leading up to the one you responded to.
Thanks for making us go round in circles though. Most threads about Bradford need that.
You could of course also bring up the time when GH was in charge of Leeds but had sold most but very from all of his stake in Sheffield.
It doesn't take much effort to see that what constitutes a conflict of interest from the RFLs perspective is nebulous at best. I have said I don't know what the rules are and I'm really not that inclined to go look them up. I just don't think it's obvious that this situation falls foul of them.

| The suggestion that Mandy koucash is interested in buying Bradford independently of her husband is clearly ridiculous. In the seven minute interview on Sky .Marwan did 99% of the talking ,his wife had very little to say about anything.

No doubt she will speak to the RFL on her own, without her husbands interference, just like she didn't interfere when he bought Salford.

| I am sure the RFL would prefer if he introduced some of his millionaire racing mates to our great game rather than buying up teams himself.

| Unfortunate that someone with money comes along and puts it into clubs when P&R is back on.
Good for the clubs who benefit but will make a two tier league even more visible

| To try and compare Mandy and Kath's knowledge, experience and love of the game is ludicrous. And anyone suggesting to Kath that she can be influenced or controlled by a third party had better be wearing some robust protection !

| OK - for what it is worth. I believe that if the good doctor wants to own 2 clubs then I doubt the RFL have the required physical attributes to stop him. Any questions and he points at the Hetheringtons. Kath may know the game and Mandy does not but it is still husband and wife so what can they say.
I just hope he does not buy into Bradford and abandon Salford.
Anyway has he got any offspring that want into a tidy little club who know where to find a good welder.
No on second thoughts we'll be fine thanks.

| Mrs Koucash hasn't a clue about Bradford or Rugby League. If the Doc wants another club then be open about it if there are no rules against it, but for goodness sake don't try and kid everyone that the Mrs is remotely interested in buying Bradford and running a club in Super League.

| It appears that none of you think we have a strong enough squad to avoid relegation. We have to face it someone will buy the Bulls, why should that be a concern of ours. What happens at the Bulls is their business all we can concentrate on is our own club.
I would say let's just end this pointless paranoia if we produce on the field we stay up if not then we go down. I think some commentators include/exclude clubs from the relegation battle based on their past history. I believe you can add several other clubs to the relegation scenario Hull KR, Catalan etc.
I would make one final point so what if Mrs Koukash buys the Bulls because you can buy players with money but not a team as Salford are currently proving.

| Haven't a problem with anyone buying the Bulls ā¦even Mrs Koucash. Just stop trying to fool everyone about her interest. Personally I think we have the players to avoid the drop, and feel we will get better each week .

| The sport isn't healthy enough to possibly turn away men with money. It's quite transparent that it's the Dr who wants to buy Bradford. Heck, he isn't interested in them, just owning another club and most importantly another vote at SL meetings to try and push through his ideas.
I like the guy, he shakes things up and says what he thinks and isn't afraid of the RFL. The real question the RFL have to ask is are they willing to devalue the integrity of the sport by selling a second club to the Dr.
However much legitimate, upstanding and fair the clubs act there will always be an undercurrent which mumours match fixing, corruption, cheating whenever a game, transfer etc occurs between the two clubs.
It's a tough decision, at the end of the day there is a club on it's knee's and there's a man waving money ready to buy into them.

| I don't know what her interest in the Bulls is, I guess time will tell if she is successful in her bid which is not guaranteed. It could be the good Dr's money but I don't think we have a rule excluding family members not owning two different clubs.
We have grown a little obsessed with conspiracy, I say let it go let's move on and return to threads about players rumoured to be joining us and let what is happening at the Bulls happen.

| If his Mrs or he buys the Bulls it don't matter to me all Im interested in is Wakey and I belive when these new players have got into the way we play then we are good enough to stay up.I can see some inflated transfer fees as practically all the good players are under contract this season.

IF it does happen and I'm still not confident of that at the moment, you have to be pleased for the players who have stuck by the club. Certainly can't blame any player who decided enough is enough a couple of months back but I guess they might feel a bit gutted that they left after all they endured and suddenly the Bulls get some security and investment. I expect the Bulls will be further behind at least one of their relegation rivals this weekend so even with significant investment in the squad we will have a fight to survive.

| Would be a bad move even at 250k each If Bradford have to come to us for players this would weaken us again and would have 500k to spend but would struggle to get players in this late in the season. The Rfl should warn the Bulls If they get a hint of tapping up once someone gets the Bulls then they should slap a transfer embargo on them again. When we signed Scruton and Sammut we did It all above board.

| Contrast the two games for the Koukash family:
Friday - team on the up in lovely new stadium against a nearby team geographically who were last years Grand Finalists and with a traditionally huge away following - 6,200-ish
Sunday - a home team at its lowest ever point in its super league history playing in a soulless muddy bowl against a team with a traditionally small away following - 6,700-ish
The doctor must be kicking himself.

| Mrs Koukash has tweeted her bid has been declined by the administrator. I can't help thinking that this has been all about generating as much PR as possible. Anyone remember him saying he was signing Sam Tomkins and latterly Sam Burgess?

| I did point out that the administrator would not be swayed by personality all he was interested in was to maximise the money paid so that he could use it to pay some of the creditors including his business. I suppose he will have asked the RFL for their input but providing whoever offered the most and was acceptable he would sell to. He is not interested in the Bulls going forward, once sold he walks away.
