He's with us to gain SL game time because he's not good enough for a regular spot in Leed's first team, yet.
IF Walshaw was fit, he should play, if not, then Jimmy will get the gig.
Personally, I'd stick with Ryan (again if he's fit).

I must be mistaken then because at the start of the season we were short of players' and McDermott loaned us Kleinhorst to help us out and to get him more SL experience. He has played in the Leeds first team despite not being good enough, your words not mine and his problem is that chose which position you play him at the likelihood is there will either an English international or a top aussie in front of him, which is hardly the same as not being good enough. Personally I'm not fussed who plays I prefer to leave that sort of thing to the professional (the coach) he who gets paid for the job in hand and has the most knowledge on a day to day basis. The whole point of my response to the OP was that how do does he know if he's average, not having seen him play and to just dismiss him because he prefers Walshaw proves once again he knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

| Walshaw was in the 19 man squad last week and nowhere does it say he is injured this week (although i suppose he might have a 'calf injury'), just replaced in the squad by Keinhorst, a guy who appears to have glass hamstrings and played most of his rugby last year for Hunslet. If Lucas is actually injured then fair enough but i hope he hasn't just been overlooked as i personally think at this stage he would have been the better bet.

At the risk of being perceived as Keinhorst/Kleinhorst agent, your sarcasm does you little credit re glass hamstrings as far as I can remember he only played the one game, I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong so he must have been very unlucky to have pulled multiple glass hamstrings' in that game, oh and if Walshaw is not injured then then clearly Webbo's opinion does not agree with yours, I personally would also have liked to have Walshaw play instead of him, but I'll rely on Webster's selection.

Happy to correct you, he's played twice and has yet to go beyond 15 minutes, going off both times with the same injury.

AFAIK he's played in two and done his hamstring both times about 15 minutes into the game.

I'm pleased that you rate the lad so highly and it's certainly easier to look good when making appearances for a top 4 team, than it is in a bottom half team.
Although it was good of Leeds to loan us a couple of players, they were "surplus" to Leeds' requirements at that time and have not been recalled (notwithstanding any injuries of course)
The point that I was making is that, IF we re not seeking to sign Keinhorst then, we should be playing our own players and getting our own regulars used to the new coach's systems AND Walshaw had been playing his best RL until his injury.
Of course the coach will pick who the hell he wants and he wont give a hoot about comments on here but, the forum is usually for expressing opinions and the 2 lads on loan from Leeds have shown very little since coming here and Walshaw has been busting a gut.
Therefore, it would be harsh on Lucas not to get a spot IF e is fit.

Firstly I don't rate the lad at all, I have only seen him play for a few minutes' in one game,
so it would be difficult to base an opinion on that. I agree with you about Walshaw playing before him as I have already said in a previous post, I just did not agree with the way that OP dismissed a player as average when he was injured playing for our club and since his injury has not had an opportunity to prove himself, it would appear through my previous posts' that I have come on here singing his praises which was not my intention.

No worries mate, the most important thing is that whoever gets the nod from Webster, puts in a shift and we give The Rhinos a good dig and maybe, just maybe, we can sneak a win

| Good luck to Keinhorst if he plays I hope he has a great game which at the moment can only be good for WTW this season:
We all know that Walshaw is a super league quality centre/second row who can develop his passing/off load game further( for his winger if at centre). It's a no brainer and he should get a 2 year deal at WTW. We also need to retain Lynne but maybe that's for another thread.....

I understand we are trying to retain Walshaw but his Agent is doing his best to get him a deal elsewhere.
I'd like to keep him but it comes down to how much the Club is prepared and can afford to pay and how much he may be offered elsewhere but as I say, I hope he is with us next year.

| If we lose him it'll probably be due to a reluctance to play him in previous seasons. He was fortunate that an injury crisis gave him a shot but if he hadn't played brilliantly we know he'd have been dropped asap by Agar.
Walshaw needs to be playing near enough week in week out and does he truly believe that he'll get that under Webster. It's a crossroads, the likes of Wildie and Annakin will also face

| If we lose Walshaw it's because his agent is trying to get financially the best deal for him. He has bills to pay and probably a family to feed and no one can blame him for trying to get the best deal.
It's a short and relatively poorly paid professional sporting career compared to rugby union.
He needs to look at Amor though and a couple of years here for WTW week in week out helped him more than struggling at Leeds.

Agreed.
You would think that regular first team games would be better than bench warming at a "bigger" club.
Having said that, money talks and not many of us are in a position to turn down extra brass.

What about not even getting the chance to warm a bench at a smaller club?

| Keinhorst has always done alright when he's played for Leeds and he's often played at times when we haven't been playing that well.
I'm not saying he's world class or anything, he's not, but he's a perfectly ok centre/winger.
He was never going to get much/any game time this season at Leeds with a back line of Hardaker, Briscoe, Watkins, Moon & Hall and Jones-Bishop as backup, and needs to be playing at a better level than Hunslet.
