| I'm a closet Saint's fan (even have a 2008 shirt signed by Sean Long ) so no prizes for guessing who I'll be shouting for.
TBH I'm hoping for something similar to the Championship final last week!
Prediction:
Saints 37 Wigan 36
MOM: Cunningham

| If its Saints and Wigan there has to be a bit of fisticuffs at some point. Question is when? I reckon Sam Tomkins will get gobbed on the 57th minute.

| I would like Saints to win but with the injuries I expect Wigan to be too strong for them, but then again it's a final so anything could happen. Cunningham's prolonged swansong has got them this far so I wouldn't bet against them.

| I once went to a Grand final between Wigan and Saints (free tickets.) Before the game I was intending to cheer for Saints, hating moaning Wigan fans and all that, but when I got outside the ground the place was full of extremely badly drunken scousers. So it was Wigan on the day. There was about 10,000 Saints fans all in all which is disgusting for a side steeped in glorious history. The Wigan fans still left 10 minutes early though.
I'll probably hope for just a good game tonight but if the Scousers ruin the one minute silence I'll be rooting for Pat Richards side.

| Not bothered this year.
For the last three years, I wanted St’s to win (I wonder why )
I just hope it’s not decided on a dodgy V.R call.

Agree the swinging arm looked pretty bad.
Looks like Saints have been reading the Trinity defense manual, they're all over the place,3rd try just scored by Wigoon.

Some teams are worse than others but dissent is creeping in SL in general and needs sorting quickly. Dont want RL to end up like football.

I went to the game last night and haven't watched it back yet so not sure if it can be heard, but the way some of the saints fans reacted during the minute's silence was disgraceful. It wasn't just the odd one either. No matter what your feelings are about the guy and what he did he was obviously extremely troubled and hurting more than we can imagine, so much so he took his own life even though he was leaving a family behind. I would hate to think what his family felt to the reaction of these morons and just hope they weren't watching.
I went into the ground not sure who to support, but this made up my mind.
Having said that, I was outside Old Trafford from 11am doing research for the RFL and Leeds Met Carnegie and met 100s of people who all acted impeccably from all clubs in Super League (thanks to the two wakey fans who let me interview them). A great day with a great atmosphere tarnished by a few idiots.

TBF I expected worse, especially when Wigan took command and the Saints players lost their heads.

Have to agree tbh - i was neared the Saints end and the shouting all came from the Wigan end . (could've been anyone tbh though, couldn't see any individuals )
Wouldn't say Saints fans were impeccable though - saw the constabulary entering the Saints end a few times chucking people out when the game was gone .

| We were sat near the Wigan end and could hear people talking throughout the minutes silence. However, it was made worse by the chorus of "shut ups" being shouted from those around them. Other than that it was a fantastic atmosphere, unfortunately not the classic I'd hoped for though, although I'm sure the pies fans enjoyed it.

| A great atmosphere and a cracking occasion, but a strangely unsatisfying match; I reckon Stains should get their shirts from our supplier next season - the big neck might help with their choking problem.
The noise during the silence by the way was, without a doubt, from the Wigan end.

All I can say is what I personally saw and heard and from some, by no means the majority, they were far from impeccable. Having said that, it was a great day out and the atmosphere apart from that was outstanding.
