| If 3 signings complete the squad we are stuffed.
I think they'll make more than that.
Looking forward to finding out who though.

| If we are spending considerably more than anyone else is the Champ then I thought we’d be signing more then 2/3 players especially with who’s left the club. We need at least another couple of props, a half back, winger/fullback.

| Possibly 2 more props and a half may have to do for now. Then DR will fill in any injury gaps, until players become available. Would not surpise me to see the likes of Eseh and possibly Hampshire back here for a game or 2.

This is where Liam Kays versatility comes into play, as he has played fullback before, plus nearly everywhere else.

| During the Radio Leeds interview DP and ME stated that we had 24 signed up and Powell was wanting a squad of 34, so I'm guessing a few more yet ??

He was horrendous at FB and I believe dropped about 3/4 bombs at Salford. Kay on the wing for me.

I don't think he was, well he may have been in that game, but in others he was OK. He's last ditch at FB, but he's still useful. He's also useful cover for the halves and especially at nine. In SL but especially in the Championship, not every player in every position needs to be brilliant every game. Sometimes competent will do, and Kay gives you that. I think we are spoilt a bit with Jowitt, he has his faults, but under the bomb he's one of the best in game.
I am a bit baffled as regards the highball comment, in that as a winger he will take nearly as many of those in a game as a FB, so surely that makes him a liability on the wing as well? Just a thought, not a criticism.

I really like Kay, I think he offers us phenomenal cover, just on the day at Salford he was poor under the highball, he can be excused for playing 5/6 positions last year. Applegarth actually highlighted over using Kay in various roles and mentioned the Salford match at the last fans forum I went to. On the highballs, as a winger I believe the kicks that you deal with are more controlled direct kicks to the corner for an aerial battle, for the fullback they are spiral, flat etc bombs that are more difficult to deal with. Just my Opinion and nice to debate

Exactly. Having a player like Kay who can do a job in a few areas is invaluable. I have a real good feeling that Pratt may show up well and be a bit of a bolter this season.

| Think we will start the season with under 30 players. The squad we have already is more than capable on paper in the championship. Dual registration will cover any emergency gaps and enable us to bide our time and get the right players in as the season progresses. no need to rush now and sign everyone at once, a lot of gems are uncovered from Australia when the seasons underway and they are not getting game time

In his interview I'm pretty sure Powell said a starting squad of 34. How that is composed and who is included I couldn't say.

Think there will be 3-4 more signings at least before the Rhinos game.
Looking at the squad as is it’s certainly capable but it won’t be easy nailing that top spot without a few top quality signings in key positions as we are. If we are then some players need to really step up this season like Croft, Shaw and the two new forwards Bain and Boothroyd.
An enforcer prop is a must, a quality second row and halfback should finish the squad off though we could possibly do with some quality adding in the backs and depth.

Yes, I've just read that too.
Quite hot property too, by all accounts.
Several SL clubs have been after him

| Just seen ‘the game caller’ has posted it on his twitter. Genuinely know nothing about the lad but guessing Powell rates him and obviously fits the mould of a young HB that he wanted. If various SL clubs have been after him then he must have something.

Definitely appears to "fit the mould"...looking at that picture, I'm sure he's yet another ginner
