Hi coming to the game on sunday via train into westgate , is the stadium a walkable distance from there and are there any decent pubs on the way ??

On pre season form would have to be Brad Walker. He seems to work reasonably well with Miller too.

Hopefully Lino is fit though but not worth risking him if not.

Westgate will bring you right into the City Centre, probably a 20 minute walk down to the ground or walk to the bus station and jump on the 189 bus. Takes you down Doncaster Road and can get off just outside the ground.

Plenty of pubs about, The Black Horse/Henry Boons are probably closest to the station.

It's about a 20/30 minute walk but you can call in to a number of pubs on the way. If you walk through town head towards Fernando's which is a good pub then a 10 minute walk to Ruddy Duck (average pub at best but it breaks up the walk) and then the Con Club another 10 mins walk next to the ground.

Walker deserves the chance for me

He does if it's true, but so far this is a chip shop rumour, not saying it isn't so but we all seem very keen to believe it.

If Lino is not ready I think either Walker or Gaskell is fine... we need to put Hull on the back foot to give the halves room to work... lifting our aggression and intensity considerably from the trial games

Nothing against Walker but for me if Lino is a no show it’s Gaskell if only for his big match experience , we really could do with getting off to a winner especially at home and in front of a partisan crowd ,and will set us up nicely for the next few tough fixtures

Get off at Westgate. Have a pint (or two) in Harry's bar. Have a pint in The Hop. Have a pint in Fernandes. Walk up to the ground from Fernandes. Walk straight from the station is about 25 minutes. Having a few scoops you will need about two hours.

Just listening to poaching’s latest interview with JD and he doesn’t mention Lino not playing just a few selection headaches with having to leave players out for the opener .

One thing I’ve noticed about WP is he’s a poker player who keeps his cards very close to his chest. He gives very little away unlike CC who wore his thought all over his face.

It’s not mind games like Fergy, truth is we are not considered important enough for that. It’s more using everything we’ve got and keeping everyone in the dark is one of those.

No idea if Lino is playing but I can’t help thinking that people are putting 2 + 2 together and getting any answer they want. All based on Lino’s absence in the two friendlies.

Could be injured could just be that he’s was not 100% and WP needed to see how Walker and Gaskell went with Miller, he already knows Miller/Lino works.

Agree every little bit of help is welcome against our opposition ,whether that is withholding player info or other ,it could have an impact how hull line up as daft as it sounds

Don't think it sounds daft at all, I'm sure it has a bearing on a coach's thinking especially if they have first hand knowledge of the oppositions injuries with regards to their own little niggly injuries.
