Painful to watch today.
First few tries were directly from individual players. Leigh didn't have to try hard.
Atoni a complete waste of time and came off injured so unlikely to be playing for a while.
Proctor probably had his best game. Played about 60 minutes. Made a lot of big tackles. If we are going to play him he needs to play second row for at least part of the game.
Battye got stuck in and was our best forward but then made some unforced errors.
Thought Pratt looked pretty good. He's not ready for a full season yet but he'll be special one day.
Pitts again looked most likely to make a break and scored.
Dagger the same.
But ultimately everything was too slow.

Leigh didn't have to be good tonight and I'm not taking anything away from them.
Pratt did have a good game and looks one for the future (whether it's at Wakefield, who knows) but he will be better when he passes because he blew one if not two tries tonight, but I put that down to inexperience.
All in all I can't wait for this season to be done.

I think the post was more to highlight that we are incorrect to assume we should be ashamed to lose to Leigh. I am sure some of our own contributors have highlighted similar about us on other club’s forums. I accept not this season because we haven’t won a game but just stretch your imagination to the maximum how do you think the supporter’s of a team will feel if we beat them. I know it’s hypothetical but one can dream.

The inference was probably re: a newly promoted side hammering us, again.
As I say, if you want praise then look at your own forum, we aren't here to wax lyrical about the
opposition, we don't need the boot in from other supporters, especially right now.

Definitely bombed 2 tries ,but youthful exuberance to blame I’d say , Tafua was stood with no one between him and the line , a simple pass one have surely ended up with the points . Will certainly learn from his experience and hopefully will be a mainstay of our team for years to come .

When you see how hard and direct Leigh’s overseas forwards take the ball up it’s beyond embarrassing, as bad a signing as you get for an quota spot , and some of Jorge’s decision making tonight was farcical for a veteran NRL player

I've already said i'm not looking for praise, and i haven't put the boot in either.

Proctor was our best player tonight no errors I can recall, other than disputing a decision from Thaler that turned a scrum into a penalty and a six again for holding down when he chased down a Leigh player on a break (possibly saving another try against). Pratt had a far more impressive debut than Windrow. Happy that Atoni stayed off and let Eseh get some decent game time.

Taufua was just awful.

Expecting us to accept that we should lose to 5th place Leigh while praising how well you are doing
certainly feels like both. Apologies if we, as Trinity supporters don't feel too charitable to other teams
at the moment.
I certainly didn't come on to the Leigh board when Trinity were beating Leigh during your
'lean' years to expect praise for Trinity.

Give over. As soon as any match is won by Leigh you are scouring the opposition boards like a school kid that finally handed his homework in looking for praise for the mighty leythers. After our game when we didn't give you any, you and your mate posted well done to yourselves! Agree that Pratt bombed a try when not giving a simple pass to Tafua for a stroll in.Having said that he would probably have dropped it! The guy was an absolute liability tonight, and sad as it is he just can't do it anymore and shouldn't be in the team.

There's no shame in losing to leigh, that's not what I said. But getting thrashed at home is pathetic. Especially when they didn't have to work for most of their points

I just cannot believe we have gone from having two of the best winger's in the game ( Johnstone and Murphy) to two of the worst I have ever seen (Lineham and Tafua) in just a few months.

Agree , but most worrying is it is not just the wingers ,it is all over the team We have had 5 attempts to get the 6 right in 12 games it is a disgrace .At home we are out of the game by half time most of the time .Great that Lino,and Max as signed for next year, but the Hood signing in a key position as got me worried that we are still going to go down the roof of old players ,and we have not learnt anything about a team of old men Would like to know how come a coach who as not won a game and is playing the worst rugby that is up there with any I have seen by a Wakefield team in 68 year of watching them .is still in a job

The worst thing about all this is that we seem "happy" to get through the season and be relegated.
Regardless of whether we will attain a good "B" rating, under the new IMG rules, this just isn't right.
We're now 0/13 and there is no sign of a "W".

Yep. And 13 games in still none of our wingers have actually scored a try. That has to be some kind of rugby league record.

Even if it means a transfer fee I would be all over bringing Lachlan Walmsley to Trinity. He’s probably the best winger in championship and has pace and can find the line.

If Kay is fit next week for me he takes Taufua spot. I would probably stick with Lineham as tbh I think he’s been doing ok since he came back in.

Your doing it tough at the minute for sure, I’ve said on here before if you go down it’s not the end of the world, I’ve been through it with Leigh turning up to every game in 2021 hopeful of a win but to be beaten again by silly mistakes poor discipline and other fans constantly taking the pi**.

Use it as a chance to wipe the slate clean, clear any finances, and rebuild, A strong Wakefield in the Championship will surely attract players.

All is not lost yet, 2 wins and your in the mix with Castleford and having watched you both I think they are in more trouble.

The one thing I have learned over the last 10 years is make sure you have a quality coach. Lam for us has been amazing.
