| Think Mr Chester as been playing all new signings to prove a point .Think none of them are good enough to replace any body who as played in the last two matches

| Quote ="vastman"If Hampshire plays like he has for the last two games then he is our no 7 for next year regardless of who comes in.
So many false starts from this lad but if ever there was a chance this is it. A fair few games now to stamp his mark, he did everything right on Sunday and some.'"
Oh no I definitely don't agree with that.
Hampshire is a great athlete and I'd really like him on the field but he's not the 7 in my opinion. He is not bad but organising general is not in his bag of skills.
If we had to go with him and Miller I'd be ok with it, but we won't be troubling the playoffs.

I think Battye is very good.
Westerman is a step ahead of the other players we have.
Gigot was a mistake when we just needed a body
Walker we got when Hampshire wasn't signed. Just turns out MJ has stepped up when it came to it. Walker has it in him but it's OK to have two competing for the position.
Woods has shown to be a good purchase I think. Ball distribution can improve but no more that Paul Aiton when he arrived.

As ever you miss the point, I really don’t know how you do it unless you don’t read between the lines or actually don’t read at all.
That’s the whole point, up until the last few games I to have doubted his ability to run a game. To me his decision making and vision have always been suspect. I have never understood why some on here have labelled him a genius who never gets a chance. To me he’s been totally over hyped. So we agree so far.
However it’s never to late, if he is what some say he is now is probably his last chance. Injuries permitting he has a clear run to the end of the season to prove us wrong. Or are you saying he doesn’t deserve that chance?
Give the bloke a break, he was sensational yesterday. You do seem awfully selective on those players you back and those you don’t, odd.
By the way I feel just the same about Miller, another player who struggles to run a game and always has, yet somehow he gets away with it. Double odd.

Westerman is a good player, better than I hoped for, but he is not a step ahead of the rest of the team, not even close.
In terms of ability and influence in there relative positions, Fifita, both Woods, Arona, Ashurst, TJ and a few others are far more important to the team.

| Quote ="little wayne69"There is room for both Hampshire and Jowitt in the team where both can be used in different positions, the problem is there isn't or shouldn't be a place for Walker who complicates matters with Chester trying to justify his mistake in signing him by selecting him when unfortunately he appears not up to the required standard.'"
To be fair to Chester...Walker had a great season with London and looked a good up and coming player who obviously fitted our budget...at the time Hampshire was stalling on signing a new deal, very much looking like he wouldn’t, do I wouldn’t call it a mistake as such....with the benefit of hindsight, with Hampshire agreeing to an extension it was a signing that wasn’t really needed...
The other big mistake I think has been Gigot...came from desperation though I think...I bet if they could turn the clock back he wouldn’t be signed...other than that most of his other recent signings haven’t been so bad...

| Think you can add Atkins and Brough to the list of mistakes too.

Westerman and Tanginoa have definitely looked a step ahead of the rest of the team this season, I would probably push Josh Wood into that group as well, even when the team looked dreadful they had performed okay and created chances.
In terms of Fifita I haven't viewed him as an important part of our team for a long time, he seems to be a shadow of his former self, even against KR yes he got through a hell of a lot of work but he still wasn't troubling Hull by his own standards, hopefully it is more a fitness thing and the more he plays the better he will get.

| Alex Walker is obviously a confidence player, I have seen him have dreadful games for London but I also saw him have great games, I always say that inconsistency is something that as a team we cannot afford but I think he will come good.
Jowitt has been fantastic over the last few games, he seems to be linking into the attack as he did a couple of years ago and delivering that final ball to the wing which I think he is actually one of the best in the league at.

I've backed Hampshire a lot and I still do. I just don't think he's the ongoing answer to our 7 problem.

| Think hampshire has had enough opportunities over the years at wigan leigh cas and us to cement a number 7 shirt but hes just not good enough with ball out of hand or on last plays his goalkicking is good though and hes decent fb cover i think next year if bjb departs he may go on wing and try and build up a partnership with lyne

| My only concern with Hampshire on the wing is his height, there are plenty of wingers in the league that are 6.3, 6.4 and I fear that teams would exploit us regularly with Hampshire on the wing.
