Agreed. However you're only as good as your last game regardless of contract length or recruitment choices. They're not doing the jobs they were brought in to do.

| Quote ="Sacred Cow"Usual rubbish again. It is now obvious Chester is not the man for the job, we are not improving but there is no way Carter will sack his mate. The players are trying but the system is a mess and Chester doesn't have the ability to fix it. He should walk but then again, who would come in now?
Thankfully Salford have kicked on to win at least.'"
Chester doesn’t need to walk if he’s big enough to admit Brough and Miller are NOT working. Sadly he won’t and deserves his fate which should be the sack.
For the record I actually think Miller is the problem more than Brough but at least one needs to go.
Finally Hull we’re not great but then they didn’t need to be.

| Today was possibly a slight improvement but, we are getting rock all from our halves.
The two most creative players or game breakers were Hampshire and Escare. Brough and Miller as a pair are giving us NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING.
Certainly either Bouugh and / or Miller need to take a rest and for me it would be Brough.
Everything is going through him and nothing is being created at all.
At least with Miller/Hampshire/Escare in the halves we have a running threat from any option but at the moment, everything is so damn slow and easy to read.
Our 2 tries came from Hampshire so he HAS to play in the halves.
Our pack look willing enough although Fifita isn't fit and at least there is something to build on for next week.
Time for our coach to be brave or we will be utterly reliant on London/KR/Shudds to keep losing.
Obviously, something will change next week, with either KR moving above us or possible safety if we can win.
THE biggest game of the season.

| Why do we continue to hit players from the side when defending, Hulls forwards were dragging us up field in collision, hit them head on then wrap them up and our slow play of the ball is gifting sides time in defence. Frightening thing is Hull were poor

| Have to say the halfback partnership of brough miller isn’t cutting it at all. The last tackle kicks and plays too are long kick straight into a backs hand or hastily thrown together grubber that seems to have no intention (to force a repeat set for example).

Hull weren't great but, it's difficult to know how much of that was down to us or whether they were having an off day.
The 2 length of the field efforts proved to be the difference.
The intercept was a shocking individual error and the other effort was very poor defence.
I was pleased that we kept going though and there is something to build on.

| Why would u want to play Escare in the halves? He doesn’t have the skill set to play 6 or 7. Full back is probably his best position, he’s great at bringing the ball back but not brilliant under the high ball or in defence, on second thoughts.....it might be best to leave him on the wing

Hull knocked on five times in the first 20 minutes, no team should win the first half let alone the game with stats like that. We are so dreadful we can’t even exploit that. At least two of Hulls tries would have been stopped by a competent pub team!
Today was atrocious even in a season full of atrocious performances.
No way am I ever going to stop supporting Trinity but I honestly don’t think I can justify buying a season ticket next year. I know all the arguments about it being counter productive but when your head coach can’t see the obvious then why should I?
Sorry MC but you’ve been stuffed by a coach and a number of players who you put your trust in, Miller in particular. Get rid now whilst you still have a chance of at least one up game that a new coach usually brings, it’s our only chance of a win imo.
I’d suggest McDermott, mainly because he’s the only available coach with any experience who is available. Tragic really.

The intercept came from the player who won the MOM! That tells you all you need to know about the rest of the team because despite his costly and stupid error he was our best player by some way.

| Brough and Miller are has beens.
Brough in particular never moved more than a yard before passing and the poor performance from the two of them meant we had no momentum going forward.
Changes are required for next week.
1 Jowitt
2 Tupou
3 Arundel
4 Lyne
5 Kershaw
6 Hampshire
7 Escaré
8 Fifita
9 Randall
10 Tangata
11 Batchelor
12 Talinoa
13 Crowther
14 Wood
15 Atkins
16 Kopczak
17 Pauli Pauli
Good combination of pace in the backs and power in the forwards.
Speedy half backs to offset the guile of McGuire and Drinkwater.
Brough and Miller will be murdered by them if played in their present form.

They're abysmal and have been all year. Anyone who thinks differently can't be watching the same team. Stop wasting our size and use the big men. Get Pauli back in and tell him to just ram it in down the middle. We've got the go forward but it falls to bits 30m out. We only lost by 10 but for me Hull were always comfortable.'"
You've hit the nail on the head but I just don't think Chester has got the balls to do it. It's so obvious what is happening with keeping the halves as they are & building the team around them everybody's playing out of position & nobody knows what they should be doing it is poor coaching I've got to say & as much as I don't like it MC should be telling him to sort this or get out

| I think it is time to rest Brough because I have not seen him have any influence on the team and his kicking game albeit occasionally successful is usually well known by the opposition. I think you cannot blame Miller because last season he was one of our better performers therefore I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope the loss of form relates to his half back partner.

| To be honest I don't see why people are criticising Miller.
He stepped up today and took the play off Brough.
Escare was OK but I thought Tanginoa, Arundal and probably Kirmond were above him in Mom.
Lots of effort today.
The two interceptions were the difference.
For a change they didn't just break us at will, in fact we pinned them back for long stretches. Apart from the breakaway interception the defense was good or at least good enough.
Our attack was the issue.
Poor passing down the line especially from Brough really hurt us. Miller was taking passes off his feet and at full stretch above his head.
I thought BJB did some great defense today.
Arundal was great when he got half decent ball. He'd play centre for me next week instead of Tupou.
Hampshire try was excellent but equally he let Sneyd run right round him for the solo try.
Lots to work on. Need to get it right next week.

| If we had of had a nifty half back who kicked two forty-twenties, a nice little grubber to bounce of the posts and then gone on to take the line on himself, then we would been sitting more comfortably.
Tries from forward passes apiece.
An intercept try and stray passed that should have been mopped up was the most frustrating.

Kirmond man of the match for me. Errors by Tanginoa and Hampshire gave Hull the game from 6-0 to 6-20

| Thought tour best forward today was, believe it or not, kirmond.
Every kick off bar one from Broughie went to the same player on exactly the same spot.
We all can see that the Brough/Miller partnership doesn't work, so how come the man that matters doesn't.
It really must have reached panic point. I don't know of any other Team Coach that plays so many players out of position than Chester does
I honestly cannot see any other points coming our way this season..
