You only have to look at Hull as an example.
They had less injuries than us in the past couple of years but suffered massive defeats as a result and fell right out of top group despite having way more money invested in their squad than us.
When they get players back they are now well in the top 5 race..... Except against Hull KR of course but some are saying some players came back too early anyway.

We can complete when we get players back and the team is settled again. It doesn't just happen overnight on their first game every time.

Agree with a lot of what you say.......but! the problem for me at London was the attitude, no matter how many injuries you have, we turned up there undercooked, half-hearted in all we did, apart from the touch and pass when the game was gone! It will always bother me the way we lost, not the fact we did actually lose. Lines have to be drawn under the sand eventually though, from now on it has to be a mini season, with full on effort and commitment, and who knows......but another but! if we don't win tonight and Leeds win on Sunday, then we really are in a serious battle.....

I doubt there can be many excuses if we lose tonight.

Lest take the season as a whole. We have won 8 games and 4of those were down to a one man cameo by David Fifita. First game of season was full fit squad and that game was shocking. Some mention HKR at home, yes I agree also shocking and with full squad. To me the game I pick out is the second time at London, After the first game we should have learned lessons, but no, we put in a display that was absolutely inexcusable.

Will we win tonight, not as confident as some of you.


However if we loose, I cant see any other way out of this mess other than getting in a fresh coach.


First season Chester had Kear, second season Monaghan, this season on his own and its starting to look like a total car crash. Injuries are bad, but they are only masking the real problem.


So hoping for a win and clinging on to a place in SL by the seasons end.

Very pleased tonight. As good a performance you can hope for after the back of 5/6 straight losses. Well done to the boys in keeping Hudds scoreless second half. A very well earned few beers tonight. 7 day rest now and let's put in another solid performance next week.

Miller stuck at it today. Some big tackles and ran hard when surrounded by tackles. He definitely likes the sun on his back.

Still some things to tidy up but once the forwards got on top we looked good.

Hope Tupou only off to keep him safe on first game back.

How big a part does confidence play in sport! It’s not been through lack of effort but the injuries started a rut and we were struggling to get out of it...

Tonight was a close and nervy game and very tense for 50-60 minutes...our solid start to the 2nd half put us in the winning position and then it was like a collective weight was lifted from our shoulders in the last quarter! Throwing the ball around, breaking tackles...the team we know we can be!

Randell will take the headlines...his best game in a Trinity shirt...thought Hampshire was terrific though, was a constant threat and scares them to death all night with his footwork...thought Crowther was excellent too, solid as a rock and deserved his try!

Oh and Pauli...has taken a lot of stick about his attitude, fitness etc, but played huge minutes and but for a couple of silly errors ran really well and looked safe defensively..

Thought it was going to be a lot closer than that. We could easily have had 50+ in the end. MCB could have had a hat-trick, and Hampshire was brought back when he was going for the try. Good to get the two points, though. I'd have settled for 1-0 from a Brough drop goal.

Randall, Hampshire and Crowther tonight, in that order. Excellent display from all three. Feel really sorry for MCB, although he had a big hand in the next to last try. Build on that second half display at Catalans now and we'll start feeling a little safer.

MCB will never have that bad a game again, his defence wasn’t to bad but he bombed three tries. Randall got a hatrick, MCB got an anti hatrick. If it weren’t for the fact that we know he’s usually a top class finisher that could have been a Kyle Bibb career ending display.

He will bounce back.

Chester says Tupou only came off because he was blowing.

Just imagine how the lad would have felt if the result had depended on that last try that he fluffed. It would have been Grix against Saints all over again.

Said exactly the same at the match, as I say in some games that could of ended the lads career. You have to feel for the lad, the ball just would not stick.
