Well your right there Toby, I don't know owt much about rugby, but I do know that we'll miss Tinny Arona next season.

Now the dust had settled, very happy with the result. The return of sir kev, rhinos had on paper a decent side put out. They were always going to come out the blocks quick and hard in that first half, I appriciate the first half wasnt great to go in HT just 6 down after a lot of individual errors that you can’t plan for gave us the chance to roll the sleeves up and get at them in second half, for me wood over last few games always looks a danger he has to start he’s always busy and helps our speed around the ruck, Max Jowitt was great last night dealt with some tricky kicks from Dwyer and never took a backward step, As already mentioned Arona was another top performance followed close by Horo, Leeds were on their knees in last 10 mins, we finished strongerwith hopefully a bit of momentum taken into the Hull game. That second half performance is good enough to beat hull and giants, great finish with plenty to talk about over the next 2 rounds .Hopefully the posts on here will reflect that and not some of the none RL chat garbage that seem to have crept in of late ,, over to Chris Chester and the lads let’s get this 8’s put to bed.

I'm actually delighted to get a point at Leeds! The odds were stacked against us! New coach, players recalled, Sky TV , our own inconsistency etc
Let's face it, Leeds still have quality players, despite how they have been playing, and to stage a fightback and snatch a point (and very nearly a winner) is admirable to me.

I will go a bit further, the reason I heard for not re signing was money as he wanted more and he takes up an overseas quota. Randell is overseas and a very highly paid player and on this seasons evidence I would sooner keep Arona over Randell.

Now the dust has settled and we have had chance to take it all in. I am sure you all have to agree that once again we are still not switched on when we start games and we make some stupid school boy errors. We should be able to easily fix these things and once we do then we can be a match for anyone.


Last but not least, we had a penalty right under the post early on when 6 nil down and decided to run it. The subsequent play fizzled out to nothing. Hindsight eh ! , just think what difference those certain 2 points would have made.

Looking back over the season not taking the two has been costly.

Don’t disagree but Randall has time left on his contract and arona doesn’t and it sounds like we need a quota spot for a new half back, so little choice other than finding a half back from over here

Yeah realised that, I was just being hypothetical. Its just Ironic that we have been suggesting moving Randell to LF because Woody is without doubt the better hooker, and yet if he moves to LF we are allowing a better LF to be released from the club.


However !! if Hodgkinson is our replacement, I have heard both parents are English so overseas place is not an issue. If that's the case I would certainly try our best to keep Arona.

Hope we can keep the same team together for the last two games. Really enjoyed that 2nd half.

We were stood behind the sticks and that drop goal looked to have going over right up to the last moment, heart in mouth moment when the ball landed in Leeds hands. Great tackle in the follow up of the kick.

Can not understand the Lynn bashing Moon stop the wakefield cover from getting across. Randel does the hard work for Wood .Best 9 and sub i have seen at wakefield for a long time

Thought last night we looked far from a top four side especially in the first half where Leeds looked to blow us away .
But We rallied and the comittment was evident for all to see , players stood up to Leeds and dug in for the battle ahead and didn’t let their heads go down .
Thought horo stood up well last night as well as Miller and obviously woods , along with max at fullback .
If we can build on this performance and add some more fluidity in attack we will be more than a match for hull and hudds.

Last night I here was a period in the final quarter where are props we're all blown
Arona just kept going at the leeds line, absolute credit to the club that bloke and wears the shirt with pride

If we are to losing arona he will be badly missed

Spot on, when he knows he's going at the end of the season and still puts in a stint like that all credit to him, hope his replacement has his desire and commitment.
